I agree completely. McIntosh & Milton both have better balance and vision than Zeus.

McIntosh struggled with vision against Cincy.
And I dont think there is a back on the team with better balance than zeus.

That said, mcintosh brings a great dynamic as a receiver. Im very high on McIntosh right now. Milton could be more polished than zeus when it is all said and done (needs to stay healthy to show it off).

You are correct.

The barely referenced that the Gamecocks only had to move the ball 30 yards for 3 points. We punt, we win. Similar to the peach bowl.

I don't know why the vision knock refuses to die. Zeus has fine vision, and more power and goal line determination than any other RB we have. He has given us more first downs after he was seemingly stopped.

That said, McIntosh and Milton have different skill sets. they seem faster and have a little more wiggle than Zeus, but Zeus is a great RB. He is very underappreciated by many Georgia fans.

We could more easily do without Cook than Zeus. I have criticized Cook on several occasions and he seems to have fixed what i criticized him for. but McIntosh and Milton both have good speed (Although not as much as Cook) and both can catch the ball out of the backfield.

Zeus has a two skills no other RB on our team has. The drive to score and sheer unadulterated power. He packages that with good speed and vision. (No matter what some may think.)

Zeus is the kind of back that would flourish being a featured back. If he got the ball 15 carries in the first half he would make the defense quit. He punishes you when you try to tackle him.

I pity the player that meets him head on in the open field. Zeus might actually kill him.

ETA
If he stays healthy he will have an outstanding career in the NFL. Well.....he will put up huge numbers for 3-4 years then will be done. He won't be able to stand up to the pounding a RB takes in the NFL that runs like he does.

ETAA
The way he jumps up and claps his hands after being tackled gives the defenders the impression that he wants the ball again and he wants to take your (the defender) head off. it flat out demoralizes the defense.

Edit: and I wish we’d have gotten at least one shot on that shithead punter.

I've said before that we should rush two guys on those Australian punters kicking leg side. Prevent him from taking those extra steps before kicking.

Agree and always thought thwre was some
type of two step rule with punters that makes em active ball carriers and exempt from roughing calls...obviously not the case.

So you can’t hit a punter running the ball forward? That a rule that needs to be changed

I'm not sure what the deal is.

I remember we had a guy in HS that used
to hammer opposing punters but I believe he had to wait til the ball was
caught or a specific amount of time after the ball waa kicked.

Against Cincinatti? I completely disagree and going into next year, I'll
choose Cook to complement what we'rs trying to do with our offense.

I'm not sure where the confusion is.

You can 100% always hit the punter up until the punt is away. 1 step. 2 steps. 10 steps.

Where are we struggling with this?

So 1 second after the punt is away you
can hit the punter?

Garbage

I mean, I get it. but McIntosh and Milton can both catch the ball. There is no doubt that Cook has a lot more speed, though. But we have two RBs that can catch the ball, and Lovasea Carrol can catch and run the ball as well. We don't have any RBs that run with the sheer will to destroy that Zamir does.

That said, I think we would be fine if both decide to leave.

That is not meant to put Cook down. As I said, I have been very impressed with the work he has put in and the improvements that he has made. It's just that I think we have other RBs that can do similar to what Cook can do.

They put a rule in to address Aussie punters. Punters have protection within the “tackle box” as long as they are in the process of a punt. Once an Aussie style punter runs out of the box, he loses his “punter protection “ ... if there is a bad snap and the ball rolls out of the lines of the tackle box and the punter reestablishes himself as a punter immediately, he is protected. Biggest take aways is you can tackle an Aussie style punter outside the box even when he is in he act of kicking. You can not “late hit, target, etc still”

I'm assuming it similar to tackling the QB when he's in the act of passing but you rarely see those Aussie punters hit.

Agree, I feel like they need to be. If teams want to get cute with the fakes off that, then maybe the kicker needs a taste. You may see teams change their philosophy on how these Aussie punters are defended.
