How many times have we seen Sony just lay fricking brutal arse hits on defenders this season? The guy just lowers his head and knocks 2nd level defenders on their asses. Chubb, with his tree trunk legs, is a tough motherfricker to bring down for even sound, physical tacklers.

After a while this can be very demoralizing to a defense. I'm nto saying we will do this to Oklahoma, but we will find out. If they find out they don'ty like to hit, they will dive at Chubb and Michel's ankles and they will run wild. Swift will truck you in a second, too.

Funny thing....Swift looks bigger and thicker than Chubb, to me, yet Chubb is showing the same height and 10-12 pounds heavier.

Can someone explain to me the logic of running the clock to limit the possessions of a good offense, while it also limits our own? I struggle to see the benefit.

It keeps their defense on the field and ours off the field hopefully to the extent that their defense is worn out allowing our offense to score when they have to at the end of the game.

Simple example:
1. OU wins the toss and on 3 big pass plays they score. Maybe 2 minutes ran off the clock.
2. We receive the kick off and grind down the field with a combination of running and passing and in 15 plays we score. 7 minutes ran off the clock.
3. etc., etc.

By the end of the game the score might be tied but their defense is in all worse shape to stop us compared to our defense.

Sharing here just because I can't think of anywhere better... (stolen from another board)

Baylor
Iowa State
Kansas
Kansas State
Oklahoma
Oklahoma State
TCU
Texas
Texas Tech
West Virginia

What do all of those teams have in common... Zero D's... literally.

They like to hang their hat on beating the highly ranked TCU defense twice. I've not watched TCU but, statistically, they're not a bad defense. Then again, when you're playing shitty BIGXII teams all year, your defense should look good, statistically speaking. Same could be said for UGA and the opponents we've faced but we've watched the games and the eye test tells us UGA is a dominant defense regardless of who they're playing (Auburn game1 was an outlier and Mizzou score is misleading).

Want some good LOLz and have 30 minutes to kill?

Spoiler Alert....Baylor the 2nd worst team in the Big 12 scores 41 points vs. OU

Thought about a Film Room thread of this one...

Wow. It's almost like you didn't read my post to start this thread.
This is the exact misconception I posted about.

Does the following mean that Georgia's defense sucks? (Using your logic, it would. But you're wrong.)

#7 Missouri
#25 Notre Dame
#27 Auburn
#27 Auburn
#34 App St
#46 Miss St
#73 Georgia Tech
#103 Kentucky
#104 Vanderbilt
#108 South Carolina
#111 Florida
#124 Tennessee

He saw it on another board. It's a joke, so he showed it to us. It doesn't mean he buys into it.

Again.....he listed all the teams in the BIG 12 and said there literally isn't a "D" in there.
It means there isn't a BIG 12 team that used the letter "D" in their name!
Look at their names and try to find the letter "D".

It's almost like you didn't read and/or understand my post.

The meme is a meme... it's funny...

The listing of teams is a joke that there is *literally* not a D in the spelling of any of the team names in the Big XII...

Relax man.

I should have let you explain. It was yours....and I was laughing at the jokes. Especially the no "D" in the BIG 12, one. What are the odds?

Everybody thinks track speed but GPS is true football speed. It is speed when it matters most and a GPS does not lie.
