You're right. I don't get it. What's so special about a blocked punt for a TD 16 minutes into a scoreless game? All the history of the Saints franchise, and that's one of your top 4 plays? SRSLY?

Explain please.

Can't say I'm sad to see those idiots get the boot, but the butthurt is way more than is appropriate for this one.

First game back in New Orleans after Katrina against our rivals. There is a statue of it outside the Dome. Happened on the first series. It was a big thing. Ask any Saint fan.

You wouldn't understand.

Why would these guys have mocked him then if he was unknown?

Because he wrote an article that week.

I didnt read the article. but from judging by the 790 bit... i'm guessing that it reeked of Lifetime Movie of the Week.

Sport talk is more often male bravado gone wild. if something seems gay... make fun of it.

I didnt read the article, but i'm guessing that sums up all 4 pages. gay.

It was actually a really good article. Took him 5 hours to type using his eyes. Perhaps you should read it and see what his foundation is about.

If he was unknown, Why would Peter King let him write his MMQB article? He did the same thing two years ago.

You may need to broaden your horizons and check out what goes on outside your bubble.

Not bad advice...
But no.

I waste enough time on the internet. I don't need to fig out on another team's board for attention or the sake of a broadened perspective.

Besides... why would I run out to go read something that someone thought was so lame that they would jeopardize their careers with equally tasteless humor.

If the piece inspires pathetic comedy sketches, I think I've already spent enough time on it already.

It was on SI.com

Those 3 are just dumb idiots. I don't know what to tell you.

I don't think the shitty comedy was widespread.

You are being obtuse, and you are on the wrong side of the argument. But that's not surprising. You called the article gay without even reading it.

It is what it is though. Whatever. The 3 DJ's apoligized to Gleason and his wife, and Gleason accepted. I think one of the DJ's said he would donate his first month salary to the foundation if he ever gets another job.

The good thing is that this puts ALS in the spotlight, which is all Gleason wants anyway.

So, a dumb thing done gets flipped to a positive.

I was looking at you when I was referencing fagging out on another team's board.

I also called it a Lifetime Movie of the Week piece. You were offended at the tasteless homophobic remark only. I'll go to bed now knowing that you thought it was a sappy piece.

Getting ALS spotlight without following it up with more money accomplishes nothing. How much do you think you've raised for the cause with your 10 responses on this thread?

I respect your idealism, although I think it's misguided in a sports forum (and thus the low brow humor).

I wonder how many of the outraged fans have made fun of someone who was the way they were due to no fault of their own?

I've been arguing on the Dawg Rant for a few years now dude.

Not at all. Just a lack of knowledge on your part. You have no idea on my views on homosexuals, but we could have this discussion on the poli board.

ETA: on the gay remark, I don't give a shite about gays. They mean nothing to me. I am against the LGTB movement against the Catholic Church, and I have a huge issue with the gay's endgame.

My quote of yours represented your stupidity regarding the Gleason article.

The point of the gay article Gleason wrote that you have no time to read.

Zero.

I have no idealism left for this country FWIW, and this episode has nothing to do with it.

Sponsored radio isn't a sports forum. I'm not quite sure you grasp the situation.
