You do realize it is years after birth before we are fully developed human beings, right?

These are not fully developed, conscious humans. It's tissue. Abortion is only legal when the fetus is no where near close to being fully developed.

But some people say it's at conception, but I dunno about that.

Again, science doesn't even know that answer. No one knows, what we do know is when we believe their is a detectable heartbeat scientifically which has changed several times with science. We can call it tissue, we can say it doesn't feel pain, we can make excuses but at the end of the day we know that after 9 months a baby is conceived so therefore abortion is removing a human from life which we have termed murder......legal grotesque murder which we don't term murder because of these ridiculous excuses. Disgusting when you think about it. The number of abortions in this country is just sickening.

Generally speaking, the first measurable brain waves can be captured on an electroencephalogram (EEG) around the 12th week of pregnancy.

That is just what is scientifically detectable. In 100 years that timeline will change.

My argument is that we continue to develop way past birth. However:

THE TRUTH is that by 4 weeks nearly all of the baby's major organs and body systems are in place and beginning to form. And by the end of 12 weeks...the organs and body systems are fully formed! Furthermore, now that all the major organs and systems have formed in the fetus, the following six months will be spent growing! (Taken from the Univeristy of Alabama hospital website- referenced below, and available at any other credible fetal development source... because those are the FACTS.)

My dad tried to have me aborted and my mother (16 at the time) refused. He even scheduled it and tried to force her to go.

I refuse to talk to my dad to this day. In my eyes he's a selfish POS and that is something you can't forgive. He has tried to come into my life and I just can't be around someone that tried to murder me.

So....if your dad had had that mass of cells (which obviously isn't human) aborted, then you wouldn't exist? Something just doesn't make sense.

Glad your mom stood her ground. You owe her your life in more ways than one.

If there is no brain activity it can't feel pain, a heartbeat means nothing.

They probably will, but likely not in the way that you think. Younger generations are far and away more democrat that republican. The only reason republicans are still relevant is because older people vote in much greater numbers.

"Americans aged 18 to 40 are least likely to identify with a party or even lean toward one, with almost one out of five falling into that category. At the same time, among those who do identify with or lean toward one of the two major parties, there is a double-digit Democratic advantage among those at each age point from 18 to 35"

But here's my gripe. Why do we have to choose between a turd sandwich and a douschebag? Honestly, I can't vote in the upcoming election. I will NEVER vote for a Bush or a Clinton. I'm not a fan of abortion. I like my guns. I'm so ready for the government to step in and break up some of the oligopolies and monopolies. I'd love to have a single payer like they have in Europe or at least someone to have a viable solution to the insane medical prices.

Trump is an anti-government personality. He will switch parties, and his opinions, just to be the opposite of what's it power. He's done it at least twice now. He's delusional, and completely out of touch with anyone that works for a living.

Carson was for abortion, until he became a Republican.

Clinton is Clinton. Her largest donors are literally the media. Have you guys ever seen the videos on youtube about her? It's proven that CNN and other media outlets modified the audio to cut out most of the "boos" she used to receive during her time as senator.

Sanders is weak. He is so mild it's laughable. It's like he has no personality at all.

Trump won't be president. Ever. I do appreciate the fact that he doesn't need campaign contributions. I appreciate the fact that he speaks his mind. It's great, and I really wish we had someone running like him that was grounded in reality.

Putin supports Trump too, just remember that.

Now here's my rant on abortion. Why do you want to defund Planned Parenthood? 3% of Planned Parenthood's budget is used on abortion. 42% is used on STD prevention. 34% is used for contraception. Let's be honest. They prevent more pregnancies than they abort.

As a 32 year old male, I hate the options for president this year. It'll be the first time in my life where I won't vote for a president. Or I'll write in Garfield.

What has being able to feel pain got to do with being human? There are people out there that cannot feel pain at all. I think they would argue the point with you that they are, indeed, human beings.

You are what they don't want to acknowledge.

Take every victory, every good time, every success, every laugh, every friendship, the love, the charity, the face melter highs of life that you've experienced....and all the ripple effects....and subtract them. Like you didn't ever exist.

And your kids. And they're kids. And on and on.

What if the curer of cancer or the next Johnny cash or etc was aborted with the other tens of millions and we don't even know it???

We suck.

How do you know it can't feel pain? Does the absence of pain make it ok to murder someone? Plenty of people don't feel pain when they are murdered. Some people are put out with drugs that put them to sleep and then raped and murdered....does that make it ok sense theoretically they didn't feel the pain. Imagine a gunshot would to the back of the head where you die instantly....is that not murder because the person felt very little pain.

There is no way you can scientifically say with 100pct proof that an aborted fetus feels no pain. Anyone that says that are full of shite.

Because to feel pain you need some brain activity

Look I'm not saying anyone should be able to get an abortion but there are cases where it is the best situation.

The ripples are immense. My 2 children, my wife, her family, my family.....all completely reshaped if I was aborted. Crazy when you think about it.

No. It's not. Are you saying that if something has no brain activity, then it is not alive? Plants are not alive?

Abortion is difficult and painful for the unborn child. Surgeon Robert P. N. Shearin states that: [1]

As early as eight to ten weeks after conception, and definitely by thirteen-and-a-half weeks, the unborn experiences organic pain…. First, the unborn child's mouth, at eight weeks, then her hands at ten weeks, then her face, arms, and legs at eleven weeks become sensitive to touch. By thirteen-and-a-half weeks, she responds to pain at all levels of her nervous system in an integrated response which cannot be termed a mere reflex. She can now experience pain.
