again, we are using man made machines to detect brain activity. Those machines advance every year. What we can't detect today may be detectable years from now with better equipment and better science. Then we can look back and shoulder shrug about it because....it was just a fetus after all.

I'm not trusting a site with a banner that says Stop Human Abortion. The bias is painfully obvious

Dude just said it determines if a PERSON is alive and you brought up a plant. If y'all are gonna debate this endless circle of right and wrong, be rational.

Is it killing them without their consent? What is your definition of murder?

How about the New York Times Magazine?

New evidence, however, has persuaded him that fetuses can feel pain by 20 weeks gestation (that is, halfway through a full-term pregnancy) and possibly earlier. As Anand raised awareness about pain in infants, he is now bringing attention to what he calls “signals from the beginnings of pain.”

And my point is that a baby is alive. I mean....cells are alive, right? Is that sticking more to the precise point? I call it a baby, he is calling it a mass of cells. If he wants to argue that the cells are alive or dead, then you answer the question. Are cells alive or dead?

Trump is con man who fronts for organized crime. Even though the man is a complete fraud it would be funny to see the White House redecorated as a whorehouse in puce.

Every human on earth is a mass of cells. This is about morality not biology.

I am also not sure why it matters if the baby feels pain or not. The point is you are taking the life of of a defenseless person. Now, I understand your argument is that it is not a person...but that seems to be straining at gnats. It is a developing human being any way you slice it. We are not fully developed even when we are born. We continue to develop well past birth. Our brain continues to develop....our bodies continue to develop. The fact that the baby is not fully developed simply does not hold water.

Brain development extend well past the teen years, and in fact goes into the thirties and forties.

LINK

So, if the measuring stick when a brain is fully developed, then we should be killing people well into their 40's. (I know this is silly, but saying because the brain is not developed enough to feel pain, so it can be aborted seems just as silly)

But his point is that the baby (What I call it) is not only a mass of cells and not human. You yourself just made the point that fully developed human beings are masses of cells.....so that pretty much negates his argument, wouldn't you say?

Well it's both. A mass of cells is also a cat. Just how they're arranged. In your opinion Is there any situation at all, any scenario, where abortion should be a human right as an option?

You linked "abortionfacts.com". Give me a fricking break. How about you find a credible, peer-reviewed scientific article supporting that viewpoint. Good luck. Do you all also believe a virgin had a baby? Because you sound like a crazy bible thumper regurgitating the same old shite I've heard for decades spewing from pulpits.

There's so much fail in this thread. Faux science about embryology. Illogical claims about the formation of Isis. Support for Trump - a guy that is a national embarrassment. Turn off Fox News and get educated.

Wouldn't it be great if the legality of abortion/child-murder could be left up to the individual sovereign states to decide for themselves?

Would abortion end up legal in a single Southern state?

A: Hell no.

Example #54,356,367,522 of the boot of "democracy" on the people's throat.

You know....that's a very good question. I have mixed feelings. On the one hand I would say in the case of rape or incest. Those are VERY rare occurrences. However, on the other hand, it isn't the baby's fault that a woman was raped......so, you see the conundrum?

As I said...I have to go. Let me think about it and I will maybe revisit this tomorrow. Check the thread...maybe I can give you an answer.

Facts are facts, no matter what site they come from. If you find dissenting proof from a site you feel comfortable with then feel free to post.

So, you believe the only people that are against abortion are Christians? Interesting. that says a lot about you. Let me assure you....you couldn't be more wrong.

Yiou DID see where the democrats had said that Trump was responsible, right? or are simply ignoring things you don't like to hear?

I haven't seen Fox News in over a year. maybe you should turn off MSNBC and get educated? I see you are of the ilk that if somebody disagrees with you, you simply call names and say they are ignorant. THAT says a lot about you, too. Going for the night, so if you want to call people more names go ahead.
