The dolphin swim was cool. Best part was the photos/video. They have a dolphin pull you through the water about 30-40 feet.

One of the beaches is salt water and full of wildlife (sharks behind glass as well. They can put you in a dive helmet and drop you in the shark exhibit. With chain mail, you can feed the sharks). In the main swim area, it is really cool to swim down 10 feet under water and pet the spotted wobbegong (stingray type shark). And out of the blue, 4 six foot long sting rays will swim right past you. If anyone in the family loves photography, they will be in heaven.

If doing multiple days, put discovery cove in the middle (or before the last third of the trip) as it is a great way to have family fun and recharge the vacation batteries.

Sounds very cool, man! That’s way more than I knew they had. Will definitely check this out!

Next time we go back we are hitting Discovery Cover for sure. I also want to check out Cape Canaveral. I may go check out Epcot but don't want to spend more than one day at Disneyworld. It's very well done but really expensive.

Are you just wanting MK. Then you can get there early. We just left after 5 days. The lines are not bad as compared to when they are at full capacity.... but if you don’t go often, you will probably think they are.

If your saying WDW as a whole all 4 parks, well you can only do 1 park a day by restriction policy. So No.

So this message would have helped before corona..

There are no fast passes right now..

You want to get to rope drop ( park opening) preferably about 30-45 mins ahead. Head straight to 7 Dwarves, then Peter Pan, then Space Mountain, Haunted Manison, then Thunder Mountain.. should be lunch time then.., go hit Pirates, Then you should be able to ride everything else as they should all be around 30 mins waits at this point..., There are no shows and no character greets. It’s just rides and food at this point.

I'm here now. Been here all week. No fast passes but not all bad. Lines are not as long as the wait times say. Been coming here since the little ones were babies and there is NO WAY to do it all in a day. Rule 1 stay on property. Make your life easier trust me. Rule 2 make a half day at Animal Kingdom, spend the rest of that day at Disney Springs. 2 days at MK and 2 at Epcot is our go to rule. Have to wear a mask all the time in here so be prepared. Bring food to eat breakfast in the room. No fast passes now as mentioned above too. Keep that in mind. Get to parks when they open for big rides. New thing- they charge you 15 bucks a day to park at hotel but just eat it. Trust me stay on property. Disney veteran here

One day will be more than enough to know YOU never want to go again.....unless you like spending wads of cash.....and I mean piles.....and running and ripping with thousands of other people frantically looking for something meaningful and entertaining and failing on every front. It won’t be near enough for the wife and kids to come to that same conclusion. It seems like a freak idea and it is something you almost have to lest your kids need more canceling than most wind up needing anyhow.....but it is not enjoyable FOR anyone.....the only reason anyone will claim otherwise is because it is tough to admit you spent $10000 and walked away with nothing but sore feet and pissed off kids and a spouse who is actively planning her exit.

Happiest place on earth my arse..... you can hear the kids crying from the parking toll booth where they’ll clip you for about $50. The kids keep up the cacophony all day. You can’t sling a dead cat without hitting someone in the middle of life path altering emotional melt down....kids and adults alike......and dead cats cost $500 a toss.

Seriously, if you have kids you’re gonna do it.....everyone does.....and you’re probably gonna think it was great.....apparently some folks do.....but in reality renting a house on the beach with a private pool and spending the time with the kids is way more fun for everyone and you can save several thousand dollars.

To me Disney is one of the most over rated anything. Last time we went when leaving on the shuttle bus to the hotel you have never seen so many stressed out people. I was in the back and looking forward there were wives and husbands yelling at each other, yelling at kids, kids crying and complaining. Afterwards I thought I should have taken a video and put it on youtube titled "happiest place on earth" which is their slogan.

Seriously go at closing time and observe the 15 mile long line leading you past the most over priced crap ever shipped out of China and observe the seething mass of humanity who just spent 12 hours and the equivalent of a semester of tuition at a respectable state university before you take the plunge. You would be hard pressed To determine if those people had spent the day at the happiest place on earth or were being marched into auschwitz.....that’ll be you and yours. But if you’ve got kids your gonna do it.......

From everything I’ve been told discovery cove is GREAT. Usually about 12 months out for reservations.

That being said you can do EVERYTHING you can do at discovery cove on your own in the Bahamas for about 30% of the cost.....all it takes is some risk tolerance and a sense of adventure. It’s also possible to a lesser degree in the Keys.......and MEXICO......it may not be as luxurious but you also won’t be on a timer and will have money left when you get off the plane.

There are hardcore Disney fans who go to the parks every single day. They are on first name bases with virtually everyone who works there. It is an utterly bizarre subculture.

We know a couple who have no kids....they’re in their late 40s so that ship has probably sailed...they took a serious cut in both salaries to move close enough to Disney so they could go every chance they got. They are ATE up with it......I told them once that as often as they go they ought to be experts and do one of the insider secret web sights and books and pod casts....there is an industry for that sort of thing.....they said monetizing their experiences would cheapen them. Weirdos.....but it takes all types.

The people who really tickle the shite out of me are the Epcot fans. They all say something along the line of “it’s like traveling around the world without having to leave the US”.......riggggghhhhhhhhttttttttt. It is EXACTLY like traveling the world without leaving CENTRAL FLORIDA........drinking a Becks at a beer garden in Buena Vista Florida is drinking beer in Florida.....nothing wrong with that, hell, it’s one of my favorite past times, but it ain’t traveling to Europe....

If you go in July like we did, one 15 hour day was plenty.

We did wish we could have gone one more day but it was plenty of Disney for us without obliterating ourselves with our Visa.

I have been a grumpy old bastard since I was 12..........

My parents took us to Disney when I was a kid and I spent most of the day catching big bluegill in the lake at the ferry boat landing. That was FUN. Zebco 33 and rooster tails....

We’ve taken our kids 5 times for extended stays and twice for Halloween only. The 5 extended stays cost us about $10k each.....one of those we did take a niece, her fiancée, and a friend of my sons. The Halloween day trips were not bad experiences....still cost several hundred dollars.......

We did Universal twice and it wasn’t bad. They had a deal on beer and my daughter was young so she and I stayed in the kid area splash pool which was adjacent to the beer. We had a big time!

In short, no. On another note, it's an overpriced and overrated experience.

On a side note..

We go a ton and are Passholders, even though we live in Atlanta Area.

I understand those who say it's overpriced, and too crowded, and not worth it., etc.....

My response is always, you don't do it right then!

Plan your trip , day by day and stick to it. Tell your kids what they are doing each day and stick to it. There will be issues outside of control but stick to your plan if at all possible... DO Not go there and play it by ear; you will be miserable!

You are not going to an amusement park you are going to Disney World and with that kids expectations are different and the way they see it is different, than you can. You have to see it through their eyes and not worry about the money you have already spent; as a reasonable adult you are always looking to get the most bang for your buck... as an adult that cannot happen.... as a kid it's more than worth it... and that is where "Worth It Lies". The kids will Love it, you complaining about it will only hurt them.
