The bar that all of the cool ATL and Greek kids made fun off for the cheesiness but everyone ended up at on a regular basis. Had some good times in that place and their dance floor was a blast when the place was crowded.

Never spent time in Rivermill but did date a gal in that row of townhomes on the other side of Lexington Hwy.

I drove into it 2 years ago to show my 20 year old son the apartment where I lived. The river bank was so dense with trees and bushes I could barely see the water. In 92, I could sit on my 2nd level porch beside the pool and see the shoals all the way up the river. Couldn’t believe the way the view had changed. Then I remembered I am 55 and it has been 34 years.

my GF lived in River Mill in 94 & 95 so I lived there part time for 2 years. It was actually a pretty decent apartment. Way better than my apt at Sussex.

Yeah, for college apartments, they were pretty good. I've paid more for less after graduation, that's for sure.

I was in Athens earlier this week and drove by to see what it looked like torn down. It’s really crazy how much that area has changed since I was there.

My 2 bedroom unit was $700 even. I know that was 20 years ago, but it's still hard to believe a 2BR in that insanely prime of a location could be had for that little. You probably can't find a 2BR within 10 miles of campus nowadays

I was paying 700 for a 2 bedroom townhome 30 years ago.

I looked up prices about 4 years ago and they weren't much more than that (1100 or 1200).
The rents were stuck in a timewarp.

You must have had a nice place for $700 30 years ago.

Top floor townhome facing the river.
But I'm pretty sure all of the 2 bedrooms were running about that.

My girlfriend from Lilburn moved up to River Mill and commuted back to North Atlanta for work because the rent was so good. Same setup but closer to the RR tracks
