I see nothing in that order about plastic grocery bags filled with ice. Rookie move, nazi commish.

Okay, I can absolutely agree with you on this. The worst are the ones driving around town with them STILL ON.

Mark Williams should be advised that the kids only section of moccasin creek right next to the ranger station is not being enforced and the station also has firewood and ice but can't sell them because of corona virus because.

When I go shopping wearing gloves I don't get the child snot and slobber on my hands when I have to touch the carts, shelves or doors, or breath in the mist from other peoples sneezes. I also sanitize my gloves and masks after use and reuse them. No waste.

Williams is a dumbass. He’s always been pro game and fish and has taken resources from state parks. He also led the initiative to take law enforcement capabilities away from park management. They deal with a ton of people every year and can’t always just call the locals to deal with issues due to remote locations. When you go to a park and half the shite is closed or the rangers are having to split duties between multiple parks, he’s a big part of that.

This may have been done to actually keep the beaches partially open because the local authorities want them totally shut down.
This is probably true....and they'd probably like to shut 'em down more or less permanently so they don't have to police them.....open only enough to rake in the tourist dollar and then close 'em down....

How are things at Moccasin?
Bunch of old folks from Florida?
You gonna rent a boat? Been hiking over at
Hemlock Falls?
Milton pizza joint is pretty good over at Laprades Marina.

Hemlock trail closed. Boat ramp closed. Canoe/kayak rental closed.
Basically everything closed.
Only thing to do is fish. Last week's stocking truck got fished out in days by all the campers and kids with literally nothing to do but fish that little stretch of the creek. The other stretches closed.
We got back yesterday.

The cdc hasn't recommended the use of gloves. Wearing them likely doesn't prevent contacting the disease. Also most people have no idea how to properly remove gloves, which entirely defeats the purpose of wearing them in the first place.
More importantly, there is a shortage on things like gloves for clinicians who actually need them for patient care.

We used to go to Laprades and stwy weekends and eat some good food. They still open?

They should order them online like I did. Got them within a week. After shopping, I use sanitizer on the gloves then take them off and throw them in my trash bag. We take our masks home and steam them after each use.

Not the same as the old days with the fried chicken and family style dining and there's no more cabins.
There's an upscale "chophouse" on the top level of the building and grill that does
burgers on the bottom near the marina. The pizza joint is just off from the main building.

So while you shop, you touch everything with gloves including your groceries. Are you changing or cleaning gloves between items? No? Awesome. Everything on one item or surface went to everything else you touched. Including all of the "clean" things you just put in your cabinets and refrigerator. Congrats on wasting gloves.
