Kemp needs to fire him.

Begin quote- [I added italics and bold, original publication was plain text]

CRD Latest News
DNR Commissioner extends beach restrictions amid pandemic
BRUNSWICK, Ga. (April 30, 2020) -- Commissioner of Natural Resources Mark Williams has extended his administrative order (AO) regarding beach usage during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The use of umbrellas, tents, coolers, and chairs will remain prohibited on Georgia's beaches below the ordinary high water mark until 11:59 p.m. May 6, 2020.

DNR game wardens will continue to patrol beaches and enforce this AO and COVID-19 safety directives.

The Department thanks the public for complying with these measures during this extraordinary time. Your safety is always our paramount priority.

--end quote--

So, you can still go to the beach and take a stroll, but you damn well better not sit down on a chair, and you better not bring a cooler, even if you are fishing by yourself. Because the [unelected] administrator ordered it.

What I find ironic about all this is since all this started Grocery Stores, Lowes etc have all been wide open.
essential blah blah

I was just at Publix here in Watkinsville and it was literally packed and everyone was walking around normally. Lowes yesterday was packed.
It has been that way from the beginning. Personally it doesnt bother me and I dont wear a mask and never will but respect those who feel more comfortable.

My point? How the heck is a packed grocery store MORE safe than a family sitting in chairs on a beach. Outside in the heat...

I dont understand much of this, why one is deemed "Safe" but others are not. But I am expatriate coon arse so what the hell do I know.

At first, the motivation to close GA beaches was because they were afraid the Florida spring breakers would swarm the GA beaches if/when Florida beaches closed.

It was a snooty response, very uppity, but one that I could understand. Georgia doesn't want those visitors.

But Spring Break is over, there's not going to be a singular hoard of people heading to SSI or Tybee, like you might have seen during the break season.

He could have simply let his administrative order expire, let local beaches make up their own rules, but today decided to kick it back out another week. Total dipshit idiot.

This may have been done to actually keep the beaches partially open because the local authorities want them totally shut down.

His administrative order wouldn't have stopped cities from shutting down the boardwalks if they wanted to.

I think it more has to do with one being essential and the other not. People need to get food and stuff but people don't need to go to the beach.

Regardless this rule makes no sense

This guy's fricking head is like one of those old houses in downtown Charleston, it looks normal size from the front but as you pass and look down the alley, it goes back like 200 feet.

Exactly. The truth is people are much better off outside in the sunshine, heat and open air where viruses cannot survive. This whole stay-at-home nonsense is a breeding ground for viruses.

He'd have to fire himself for being a corrupt, incompetent buffoon who stole an election. This same idiot who stood in front of cameras and claimed he didn't known asymptomatic people could spread Covid-19, which was a baldface lie.

Exactly what the media and everyone else wants you to believe right now. Actually, we shouldn't even call them media. They are truly a propaganda machine for the corrupt swamp rat government. This is exactly what our soldiers have fought for, and we are now faced with reality....The government has taken control and have brainwashed many through public media.
Control more people, socialize them, rid them of their rights when the opportunity presents itself, make them feel like its the right way/better way....erase history, create new ways of thinking, spread fear and panic, take over their healthcare and freedoms

We've got HTDawg talking out of his arse defending a gun toting deer killing NRA member white male conservative republican and he doesn't even know why. This is not where I saw this thread going.

Stay-at-home doesn't prevent anyone from walking, working, or just sitting in their yard in the nice weather. I have worked in the yard, sat on the back deck reading or watching the birds and squirrels, and scraping and pressure washing the house exterior getting ready to paint. This "stay-at-home nonsense" has saved many thousands of lives, in spite of the people that still run around without masks and gloves and putting themselves and others in danger.

The people in gloves crack me up. What a waste of resources.
