I used to go to this church with a childhood friend and this same lady would speak in the tongues every frickin time. It sounded a lot like she memorized the Chinese menu from the restaurant around the corner. The pastor would 'interpret' it for us. Anyway, I don't remember specifics of the interpretations but she was later admitted into a mental facility for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

And you'll never know what came first for her: the chicken or the egg?

Born that way? Or indoctrination....

Depends which ones. "Oneness Pentecostals" reject the biblical view of the Trinity so they would be considered heretical.

I voted for Trump twice. I now have the conviction that I can no longer vote for people who do not intentionally give glory to the Lord Jesus Christ through faithful obedience to Him with a solid profession of faith. Trump just doesn’t cut it for me because of that, but almost all political candidates fail that test, too.

When I was a younger, an old guy in our church wouldn’t vote. He said it was all in Gods hands. I didn’t understand it then but I certainly do now.

I admire your conviction and the thought (and likely prayer) you’ve put into it. I’m a new poster.

Trump getting in power again, because his platform is to get rid of all the sewer dwelling rats in the bureaucracy.

Because he did such a great job the first time around, oh wait he filled his cabinet with establishment goons, took money form corporations, acted like a regular establishment republican, took money from the Saudis, played footsie with Putin and Kim, oh and defended the Saudis when they murdered an American journalist.

But hey the man who spent his life partying with the elites like the Clintons, Bushs, and Epstein, and who’s been involved in scams before, he’s definitely the guy who’s on your side because he says what you want to hear just dumbed down

Do you have an example of this where it makes Trump look bad?

Because campaign finance has every candidate take money from corporations.

I could list every democratic president for the past 100 years with the same "cause" and shite on them out of spite or hate and it would only make me appear like a spineless whiny baby.

You just spout every leftist conspiracy theory talking point like they’re fact because MSNBC said it (think Russia collusion) and act like it’s fact. You really sound silly. Did he spend most of his time fending off the sham impeachments and endless and baseless attacks? Yes. Did he make some bad decisions on who he could trust because he wasn’t part of the swamp? Maybe. Did he still manage to get us to energy independence, the best US economy ever, held Russia in check, held N Korea in check, no new wars, drastically reduced illegal immigration, basically no issues in the Middle East due to the Abraham Accord. Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes. The disaster currently in the White House embodies every viewpoint and policy you and your ilk want and we’re all hurdling towards disaster. You’re so arrogant and self righteous you can’t realize how damaging your views are, all while twisting your shoulder out of joint, patting yourself on the back, congratulating yourself on what a noble, virtuous person you are. Laughable.

I have spouted zero conspiracies and had do mot care for any major media outlet. Shockingly there’s people that are able to exist outside the little political bubble you seem to see the world in
quote:

Did he still manage to get us to energy independence,

False, we were still buying oil from OPEC as well as doing deals with the Saudis
quote:

the best US economy ever

Again false the economy was a house of cards when majority of the people working were still working paycheck to paycheck.
quote:

held Russia in check,

Russia wasn’t fighting proxy wars at the time? Pretty sure they were and still they held onto sovereign nations under Trump
quote:

held N Korea in check

North Korea has always been in check they’re never going to do shite
quote:

no new wars

That’s an incredibly low bar but he didn’t end any wars and damn near started one with Iran not to mention trying to meddle in South American elections
quote:

basically no issues in the Middle East due to the Abraham Accord.

In what world are you living in? Israel and Palestine were still at each others throats, ISIS was still around mostly fighting Iran, Saudi Arabia was and still is committing genocide in Yemen.

The disaster currently in the White House embodies every viewpoint and policy you and your ilk want and we’re all hurdling towards disaster.

The state of the country is from years to decades of build of bad policy, corporate greed, lobbyist interference, and more recently the supply chain issues, and a government more interested in trying to bail out Wall Street and the 1% rather than actually help out the average American.

Every single thing you just typed there perfectly describes Trump. His policies largely only aided the corporations and the rich. He can’t take losing and consistently throws a fit and blames everyone else. He’s a grifter who used fake populist rhetoric to trick a bunch angry people into believing he’s their hero when he’s just a con artist looking out for himself.

He used populist rhetoric during his campaign in 2016 such as “draining the swamp” which he never even tried to accomplish, he never ended any war despite him saying he would, he actually talked about universal healthcare to some capacity but never tried to fix the system, his policies were mostly aligned with basic republican establishment policies such as corporate tax cuts, deregulation, continuing the war on terror, support of anti-bds laws, and pandering to the evangelical right. He did however put into place the first step act, farm bill, and him calling out NAFTA. But overall he really wasn’t much different from Bush or Obama.

Do you know what the definition of "grift" is?

From Merriam-Webster:

: to obtain (money or property) illicitly (as in a confidence game) intransitive verb. : to acquire money or property illicitly.

What of the rambling semi-true runon paragraph above rises to "grift"?

Pretending it be some anti establishment hero for the people by using certain words and phrases then turning around and rarely doing anything that would be considered anti establishment or for the people.

His grift was obtaining votes built out of lies to a large number of people who have been screwed over for decades and desperate enough to believe anything if it sounds right

Guy running for office makes campaign promises.

Guy wins.

Guy gets about 50% of it done (a pretty good record imo)

The main reason he couldn't get all of it done is because of his opposition blocking it.

Opposition party turns around and says "He's a fraud, he's a grifter, he didn't fulfill his campaign promises!"

Do yall dems see how this looks to the general public at large?

Simple question from a simple mind.. if he's so establishment, then why does the establishment try to destroy him at every turn? If he were secretly in backrooms making establishment deals that establishment liked, they would be supporting him, no?
