Yeah, this conservative “play your assignment”, “sacks don’t matter” bullshite isn’t working. You can’t tackle or cover even when you’re playing that style of defense.

What I See from the stands a few rows up.
-Our OL is getting literally whatever we want.
-The secondary isn’t playing near as bad as it probably looks like they are on TV. They’ve actually made a bunch key tackles. The PIs have to get cleaned up too.
-That was one of the worst half’s I’ve ever seen our LBs play under Kirby. If they clean up their tackling and get them to actually contain the QB run at halftime we will win.

In all fairness to the D scheme, we arguably are 3 missed tackles away from a 20-3 game. I’m at a loss for words over a Kirby defense that isn’t fundamentally sound. And before anyone starts talking about the portal and talent and such, the 3 were Aguero, Cole & CJ.
