I’m not sure of what’s going on here.

RibOff used to be a grass roots friendly competition and sharing of BBQ knowledge. In the last event it was moving towards toddlers, antique guns and smoked crab legs. Now I’m trying to be publicly shamed into fronting a PR event.

RibOff has sold out and gone commercial.

We went over to Atlanta Grill Co. both Saturday and Sunday. They're up in Alpharetta, right off Highway 9 and across the street from the Tesla dealer, apparently.

They're a Kamado Joe dealer, and I've gotta be honest - if we were to buy one today, we'd probably lean towards the KJ. They've totally reworked their lid hinge to have a gas cylinder-assist on the open/close that's really impressive.

We picked up the Joetisserie that fits the XL Egg, too, and the Napoleon 64000 rotisserie basket. I'm sure we'll be playing with a number of things this week, but their Honey BBQ Wing Zing dust is legit.

Great. Not only does a former champ refuse to help the cause in it's time of need. But he even shits all over us while we're down.

Honestly didn't see that one coming. Thanks a lot Champ

I politely said I didn't want to compete but would judge and you guys were giving me shite. The arena speech I was referring to was of the CMR variety.

If you want people to do it you need to pick a weekend in advance - I couldn't have done it if I wanted to with one day notice.

His original post was a two week window to enter your qualifier for the future TBD riboff.

I didn't see it until it was revised because I was busy.

Still...tried to respectfully decline. Even two weeks out i'd basically do the same thing i did before. What's the fun in that?

I bought a Pit Boss since I wasn’t sure I would like a pellet grill. Originally just bought it to throw a burger or some chicken on before or after work but it’s turned into weekend blow outs. One of my buddies is on me about buying a Joe but that Yoder really has my attention.

The big addition we added to our outdoor setup since Christmas was to pick up a Blackstone griddle. BJ's has an amazing deal on the 36" with a hard top and front shelf that you can't find anywhere else. When it's on sale you can pick it up for $299.

Once you get that bad boy seasoned, you're off to the races.

You made it clear you're too cool for the new corporate riboff (whatever the hell that means), so you can stop barking orders now. Thanks
