I take it so seriously that I call it RibOff 8 when there’s only been two of them. The whole thing is meant to be a goof.

I never even thought the first one would happen, but people actually participated. You may be the one with the bad take here....

Let’s clear the air. I went back and read the 2018 thread and got misty.

I think you misunderstood my arena speech comment. I meant to give you and K9 a CMR arena speech after giving me a hard time for bowing out this year. You thought I was volunteering to rally the troops...which is not what I intended. It escalated from there...which is on me. I should be more careful and recognize that as the current champ I have a responsibility to protect the institution. I see that now.

Myself, Rig, bigdaddy...litigator...we were the only four that stepped into the arena. I laid it all on the grill. I got nothing left. But there were many watching from the stands...who can now step into the iron circle and compete. Just like we did.

I want RibOff to thrive and don’t want to see the competition I love die on the vine. I encourage everyone that thought they had game enough to compete to throw their hat in the ring. The smokers need to flare and the torch needs to be passed. We have several already that have one foot on the grate.

It’s been two years...it’s time.

Sorry for any confusion. ROVIII

It's not a top secret method or anything, but I only just got comfortable with it.

Because, at least to me, it sounded retarded at first..

THE PERFECT STEAK

-to cook the perfect steak
-you've got to throw your over-priced (thanks King Joe!) well marbled works of steak art
-on to a 700 degree raging inferno
-for mdeium rare

[/img]

-about a minute to no more than a minute 45
-once per side
-(depending on thickness)

-then stand back and pour gasoline on them (aka butter)

-then put the lid on and close the dampener thing at bottom
-and wait about 2 minutes
-again depending on how thick the cut

-the pictures don't do it justice
-but I'm set on steak methods for life
-it's the only way as far as im concerned

Looks awesome...I need to buy some bone ins. Just throwing some filets on now because it’s been a long day.

I spent all day dismantling, cleaning, grinding rust, priming and painting my JD mower. Should have done a GSB Hot Rod Mower Garage Special.

We need to get to work on lyrics to “Old grills & fat dawgs”. Things that perfect don’t just fall out of the e-sky everyday. In case you haven’t noticed

I’m not married to the chorus either. It’s just a starting point. There’s room there for tweaks

I wanted you to see em all
I wished that you were there
I looked across the room and saw you standing on the stair

And when I caught your eye ,
I saw you break into a grin

Let’s get serious..

I got an old grill
And works just right.
It can cook all day
And cook all night

I got an ole fat dog
And she can snore just like a top
I get the feelin ' i will miss it
when she stops

Stuff that works, stuff that holds up
The kind of stuff you don’t hang on the wall

Stuff that’s real
Stuff you feel

The kind of stuff you reach for when you fall

Is this to the tune of Mud on the Tires? I need to know the tune if I am expected to help with the lyrics.
