I know this post is old but just wanted to clarify. Richt handed play calling duties over to Bobo at the end of 2006, it may have actually been the week of the tech game but I don't remember specifically. But Bobo was the sole play caller for 2007.

Bobo was a Broyals Award Semi-Finalist this year and finalist in 2023.

I am content that we have a great team and will not bitch about any single play called in any game or call out any coach or player. Nega Dogs can enjoy their misery over this season.

At the end of the day, I want what is best for our football team. As I have gotten older, I care less and less about who’s coaching where. But on that same token, I am sick and tired of seeing the EXACT same shite year in and year out when it comes to Alabama. We literally lost to the worst Alabama team in almost two decades last year. And mark my words, they will have another L or two by the seasons end.

It is but the tables are flipped.
Then we had a group that adored Richt and couldn’t face the reality that year after year we lost just enough to never be relevant and any rival game was a coin flip any given year.
Now we have fans that despise Bobo and want to fire the coach de jour after tough games without being able to see were in the glory years and one of the most feared teams in college football AND are stacking nattys and SECCG trophies.
It’s like they only have 1 gear and revel in our failures so they can wave the “see? I told you we suck!” flag.

To be fair our offense didn’t really light Alabama up last night.
We had a blocked punt.
And interception.
And bama went for it on their own what? 11 yard line?
Seriously, not trying to take away from what bobo called last night, but it was more of a defensive domination than bobo showing some offensive juggernaut tendencies.
I do have to eat some crow though, I did say bobo would never beat bama as the OC. I was wrong.
And he has a chance to win a national championship and prove me wrong again.
I hope he does. I’d rather the dawgs win it all and make me look like a fool on a message board full of people I’ll never meet…

Offense was money in the red zone. Got in the red zone 4 times and scored 28 points. That's the sort of stuff that gives coaches boners.
Our offense also controlled the game and we only had to throw a pass further than 15 yards past the line of scrimmage maybe 3 times. Only time Gunner came anywhere close to throwing a pick was on a batted pass.

That poster is most likely a troll. The other option is that he's too stupid to know the definition of simple words like "mediocrity". Anybody who says or implies that Mark Richt was mediocre at Georgia is essentially saying that UGA football is mediocre. Because Richt was our 2nd best ever, after Kirby. And anybody who says that UGA is a mediocre football program is, like I said, either a troll or very stupid.

We don't need to win a national championship for that. OP discredits himself every time he posts on this board. This guy is taunting the board immediately after Georgia wins an SEC championship, because they might not win the national championship and that would somehow prove him right. Georgia's not gonna win a national championship every season or even most seasons. Neither is any other team. Trolls set the bar impossibly high so they can non-stop bitch when it's not met.
