I have seen very little to make me think we can play 4 quarters of good football vs a quality opponent.

If we lose this one then I’m back to the same level of apathy I had toward the program before the 2017 season started.

I don’t see the issues with the front 7 being resolved via a bye week, so I think UF has success running the ball. If I’m Kirby, I put an extra man in the box and play 1:1 on the outside WR’s. If UGA can force Franks to beat them, I like our chances. Mullen sticks with the run and exposes our lack of of depth. I hope I’m wrong but objectively speaking, I think UF wins.

I wouldn't go that far but yeah it'll be a major kick in the pants to lose this one.

My gut feel is generally 60/40 right. I didn't feel good going into LSU game but felt great about the South Carolina game before hand. Didn't think too much about our other games.

Hopefully I'm right on this one - just feels like the team is going to come out and make a statement. If we play well against UF I'm already worried about a letdown against UK.

We have HUGE issues if we lose this game to a far less talented team.

I will begin to have serious doubts about this coaching staff if they can’t manage to win this game.

I have the exact same feeling about this one as I did before LSU. I just thought that feeling was cautious optimism last time and now it’s resignation. If you think about it this is actually retro DGD cause I always expected a Richt-led bed shitting

I'll go 31-23 UGA because I like the matchup against their run D, but if UGA throws more than 20 times, it will be an L.

I’m with ya. I think we either win comfortably or lose a close one but I don’t have a strong feeling either way. 50-50

True story.

I think the beginning of the game will tell us a lot. If we struggle early, I anticipate at best a close loss. If we have early success, I could see anything from close win to blowout win. Unfortunately, this doesn't feel like a team that will "come back" from any sort of negative start, particularly not on the heels of how the last game went. I would anticipate a bit of mental "turtling" if we get down 2 scores early.

I completely agree. I’ll admit that my uneasy feelings were pretty much overcome by my unbridled enthusiasm that I haven’t had in nearly a decade following last season. With my fall back to earth delivered via a trip to watch my team bite the curb in Louisiana I have remembered who I am.

Same as I felt with LSU, I dreamed georgia’s talent making a breakthrough and seeing the team pisspounding Florida like the useless trash that they are. However, I see a young team and a team without an identity. I can’t trick myself into think Fromm is going to have figured it out over 2 weeks or that Chaney has changed the game plan to better suit our strengths (even though I still think Fromm AND THE WIDE RECEIVERS deserve more fault than Chaney, Chaney just refused to adjust when the QB and WRs proved they weren’t capable of living up to the moment like a pissed off kid throwing a Hail Mary every down in Madden). I don’t think our defense is going to magically improve against the run. I don’t think our pass rush is just going to appear out of nowhere or that Tyson Campbell isn’t going to get scorched for a guaranteed 5 or so plays.

What I can see, and what I hope for, is Franks showing what he is and making some costly mistakes. I think a few Franks turnovers are reasonable to expect and could be the jump start the team needs. South Carolina threw the pick 6, Mizzou gave up a fumble 6. I think of Georgia is going to win it’s going to need UF to blink and Franks can absolutely be the leak that breaks the dam. However, if Mullen has his team coached up and they play smart and just keep dink and dunking this team and getting into short down and distances I don’t see Georgia stopping them.

Could Georgia win? Absolutely. Are they? Right now I don’t think they’re mentally tough enough. They’re a better football team but I’ll wait to see if they perform like one. And I don’t think a True Freshman going under center is gonna change it either. Not Saturday. May be a valuable experience but it’s not gonna be what gets the dub.

this is why I continue to keep my trash talking to a minimum even after Richt has been gone 3 years and we are 1 year removed from a natty appearance.

UGA fans just need to learn to keep our expectations in check. We do this shite every year and it never gets easy.

kind of depressing but like you stated, its who we are.

I hate it, but 24-17 Florida, for all the reasons DGD suggested. Two weeks of prep isn't enough time for the team to grow up and for the team to find their identity.
