Just listened to Stetson on the post game presser and he said he and JT were told during the week that it was Stets game and that JT wasn’t playing. He didn’t remember what day Kirby told them.

You're feeding the few ol' redneck trolls on here who care more about whether players are from Georgia or not. One even seems to prefer we not recruit anyone from outside the state... lol Imagine where this team would be now without some of those guys from out of state.

This game showed that our team's greatness is 80% our defense. It also showed why Bennett will never sniff the NFL. Let's hope this team continues to not need a high level QB but I think it eventually will...

I am disappointed that we didn’t work JT in during the 3rd or 4th qtrs when we had things pretty locked down. Don’t know why but assume the coaches have their reasons.

Riding the hot hand. JT won’t see another down at uga unless Stetson gets hurt or leaves for auburn.

Why do you keep coming back to this tired schtick? Sure, everyone loves the underdog story but the fact is that in real competitive sports you have to beat the guy ahead of you to get in the game. That’s hard to do when that guy is getting the job done. Same with JT now as it was with Fields.

If JT is ready to get back in he’ll show it in practice and get back in. I honestly do think he’s the better QB but something is keeping him from winning the job back….and it’s not his home town or bullshite like that. Do you really think Kirby would keep his best QB on the sideline because of feels?

That’s what everyone said about AR too and guess what we saw? He wasn’t fricking ready. Pretty simple.

Has Stetson said whether or not he is coming back next year? I am pretty sure he has another year of eligibility. Everyone also assumed that JT was going to go pro after this year. If he enters the draft I'm guessing he probably a 4th rounder.

Holy shite.

Kirby is paid millions and under enough pressure to shite a diamond but he’s going to play a kid because he’s a bro from near his home town that he hasn’t lived in for 30 years?

That your story Clark?

Kirby said that he went with continuity. Hard to know what you're going to get when a QB hasn't played in over a month. His additional comment: “JT had not really been in practice as much as Stetson going back to last week. So we went with the guy who has been practicing the most and been out there the most.”

I'm not criticizing Kirby. I'm criticizing a few individuals on this forum who are interested in hometown shite. Thankfully they aren't recruiting or coaching for UGA.

That said, Fields did make Kirby look shortsighted. If he wins it all this year on the strength of our defense, he won't have to face questions about his QB management. But if he loses with Bennett along the way, those questions will return.

Just wait until next year when we have the same crew…minus transfers….and we add Stockton. This is only going to get more complicated as I don’t see JT getting any real draft attention with no 2021 film to help him out.

Hell I want to see what Brock can do with a year in the system and he may never see the field. He’s a beast.

You’re still affected by a post I made a month ago about JTs hometown USC themed calf tat.

Win.

I mean, on the sidelines he seems invested and not disgruntled.

Dude has some experience in dealing with injuries that keep him out of games. It doesn't seem like he'd go all Fields over being sidelined while recovering.

Stetson threw a couple of INTs so fricking what?

To further put it in context, one of those was effectively a game-winning interception that triggered two minutes of Florida withdrawing from Afghanistan.

Why expose him to hits/damage if it isn't necessary? There are better opportunities for tune-up work, if necessary, coming in the next few games.

From a risk/reward standpoint, it makes no sense to play Daniels until he's 100%.
