Where do you rank him as far as the best UGA running backs??? Going to miss watching him play, always reminded me of Sony Michel as far as shiftiness...

He’s kinda in that 2nd-3rd tier with Moreno, Thomas Brown, Sony Michel, etc. DGD either way.

I have always been a Thomas Brown fan, and he was a DGD...but, he wasn't even the best back in that backfield BEFORE Knowshon got there. That would have been Danny Ware...and no one put him in the top 10...
Also, shows how young some of you are and how little you know about the history of that position at UGA.

I feel like we only saw his full potential a few times. He almost ALWAYS ran against a stacked box. He’s a beast.

He had less than 450 carries in his career, so he can't be up there with the best. However, he will always be a damn good dawg.

If Sony is Tier 2 then Swift is 3. Brown would fall to Tier 4 along with other good backs like Musa Smith.
ETA: Cosign on Swift not benefiting from a more productive offense. He had T2+ talent and intangibles for sure, and he'll do very well in the League.

Brown is top 10 on the all time yardage list for UGA, higher YPC, and 23 TDs (10th all time). I don’t know much pre-Richt admittedly (was only 8 in 2001) but I know Tb was a beast and here for 4 years, SEC champion and Sugar Bowl champion.

Pretty much agree with this ranking: LINK
Swift is 9th.
Swift is 9th.

Meh that’s definitely a little skewed for recent guys, imho.

He had two 1k seasons and a long rushing touchdown to seal an SEC championship and playoff berth. He is a more than worthy member of RBU.

I don't think Brown ever cracked 1000yds. Plus I watched every snap for both backs, and Brown was good but Swift was better at almost everything.
ETA: Brown might have a slight edge up the middle, but I'm not sure I'd give him that. He was tougher though.

Brown was a ridiculously strong dude for his size (5’8 205 or so). We didn’t have a rusher go for 1k between Musa and Knowshon, but Brown was definitely the best in between.

Swift is
Worley was better than Marshall,Edwards and Davis.
Was an absolute beast when healthy and had off the field issues but had as much natural ability as almost anyone on the list.
1st team AA and SEC offense POY in '88

Agreed. Just really responding to Holliday about Ware.
Swift is definitely up there.
Also, hard to debate tiers when you don’t really quantify how many in each. Sort of subjective in that regard.

I agree which is one reason I said "pretty much" and not totally agree with the rankings. Their rankings definitely have a more recent bias.
At 6'2" 230lb, Worley was a man. He had over 2000 career rushing yards for our Dawgs and it would have been a lot more if, as you said, he had not injury and various other issues.

This list isn’t bad.

Danny Ware is one of the most underachieving players to ever wear a UGA jersey.
