Besides Cash Jones, every single player on offense who saw significant playing time in 2023 regressed in 2024.

That's enough of a case for me.

Did UGA have a bad offense this year? Your reason is kinda subjective

I will respond instead

We went from #5 in 2023 to #30 in 2024 and nearly 10 pts per game less in total offense

Rushing went from 11th in 2023 to #101 in 2024

Something changed

The o line playing like shite and Gunner not being smart enough to process the game under pressure wasted a great game by our defense.

We weren’t playing a whole game with the offense we have. We all knew that

Bowers and McConkey were a big part of that offense.

ETN was a huge disappointment this year also. Never panned out as advertised.

Look at my rushing stats in one year

Nothing to do with Ladd or Bowers

I thought the offense was pretty mediocre for most of the season.

#44 in yards per game
#46 in yards per play
#96 in rush yards per game
#31 in points per game
#1 in drops

All of these numbers will go down after the game tonight, too. Maybe you think those numbers are the signs of a good offense, but I sure don't. With a few exceptions, such as the last three quarters against Tennessee, the offense was very dysfunctional all season.

Undoubtedly yes.

More importantly, he just gave up in that game. Just now. Surrendered any chance at a championship.

Yes and no. Brock and Ladd opened up a lot for that offense. Not just the passing game. With receivers like that, you can’t stack the box which opens up the running game.

Doesn’t take you down 100 places in rankings especially when they played hurt from the FL game on last season.

Brock even missed 2 full games

Our receivers couldn’t separate or catch the ball very well. Others teams knew that and would commit to stopping the run.

Anyone have a video or GIF of the 4th down play where Walker was called offsides, but actually wasn’t?

We would’ve had the ball at their 20 with a lot of time left in the 4th Q

I didn’t think he was offsides refs thought it should be anticipating it

I agree that we had issues this year. Just trying to point out 1 out of about 100 possibilities.

11 Smith had a much better season than last year statistically.
Luckie had a better season.
Delp was a wash
Beck arguably didn’t have a better season, but he put up good numbers.
Lovett’s stats were a wash with more scoring.

Other than that, we had a lot of new and injuries on the Oline and they performed well below last year.

We are also seeing how special the 2 receivers in the Pros were and their replacements were not as good as them. I don't think that is regression.

I don’t know Searls and what his roles and strengths are on the staff. I don’t think anyone here does either. The o line needs to improve. I don’t know what Smarts plan is for that. I assume if he thinks he needs to fire someone he will.

Same for OC.

Gotta quit referring to Ladd and Bowers

Time to move on from that

All it did was highlight my points in that we have severe deficiencies and need overhaul offensive coordinators

Anyone could see NDs game plan was to force Stockton to beat us with his arm. Which he was actually doing until we got the fumble in the RZ and that abortion of the end of the half and kick return.

Then you have to put it on your QBs arm which is not where we wanted to be. Another few series of being able to pound them and that game ends differently.
