Georgia is expected to be without Nick Chubb for Saturday’s game against Troy and possibly longer after the freshman tailback underwent surgery on Monday. Chubb had surgery on his left thumb at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens on Monday. According to Lavelle Chubb, Nick’s mother, doctors inserted surgical screws to repair a fracture that Chubb suffered in practice this past week.

Hopefully he's back for UT

I was plenty inebriated but I wanna say he was the first off the bench.

Michel was out there first but at WR.

What concerns me is Marshall. He seldom goes in, and it seems like he isn't running well. Does he have lingering effects from surgery?

Who knows. Maybe he doesn't have his confidence to plant and cut back

Exactly, here we go again. And I noticed that Marshall had 1 run for 2 yards vs SC. He might listed as the #2 RB but the coaches sure aren't playing him like he's the #2 RB.

@SethEmerson: Nick Chubb had thumb surgery today, Richt confirms, but isn't ruled out yet to play Saturday. "Knowing Nick, I'd say it's 50-50," Richt said

Then put him in to run back kickoffs. With #3 and #4 back there we would get pooch kicks every time.

They already are pooching it with #3 back there.

I'm afraid Marshall is the 4th back in line. I have Sony and Nick as better back than him. KM biggest problem is his balance, or lack there of. If he could ever fix this problem, he could be a stud. He reminds me of RIchard Samuel getting shoe string tackled all the time.

By the way, why the frick didn't we see more of Michel and McKenzie in space? I understand that Gurley was having a pretty good game but they looked really good on that first drive and I don't think we saw that again for the rest of the game. USC was keying on Gurley and I think we could have fairly easily exploited their CBs with how slippery those two can be in space. I suppose it really came down to Bobo not having faith in Mason. In that case, we need to start getting Bauta and/or Ramsey ready for next year by getting them some snaps.
