Hello lads,
Just wanted to make a thread for general draft discussion since we're looking at a bumper crop of picks over the next 3 days.
1st Round Picks (Completed)
Travon Walker (Edge)
Jordan Davis (DL)
Quay Walker (LB)
Devonte Wyatt (DL)
Lewis Cine (S)
The Day 2 or 3 DGDs who helped bring home the National Title:
Nakobe Dean (LB)
George Pickens (WR)
Zamir White (RB)
James Cook (RB)
Justin Shaffer (OL)
Jamaree Salyer (OL)
Channing Tindall (LB)
Derion Kendrick (DB)
Jake Camarda (Punter)

I'm feeling optimistic (what's new?) about our odds of landing 5-6 guys in the 1st round.
The rub will be if there's a run on WR that brings some teams forward late in the 1st to snag Pickens. I believe the defense could land all those 1st round hopefuls today, but the sticking point is the negative talk around Dean in front offices/the media right now. Which is hilarious when you consider he was our best defender/most productive player.

What's the negative talk about Dean? I don't follow all the NFL stuff. Is it his size?

Very possible that 13 players from last year’s team could be drafted.
Jermaine Johnson is also projected to go in the first round.

I don’t get how Salyer shut down Hutchison in the orange bowl but he’s only projected for the third round, especially with how versatile he is?

Size, and he didn't get to go through a lot of drills/events at the Combine and Pro Day.
Seems like everyone is all in on the #'s and tests this year since Travon and Quay (Measurable guys) are getting 1st round hype. I think they're super-talented as well, but it's insane to think that Nakobe might go lower than them, since Dean was a production monster for us.

Yeah. The concern is that he will break down quickly like Deion Jones has done with the Falcons. Nakobe just screams Patriots though. Belichick would love that dude.
I'll set the O/U on 1st round Dawgs at 4.5. What do y'all think?

This Draft is going to be crazy. I predict chaos. Lots of trades, maybe even a lot of reach picks. Kids that are round 2 talents going early.
Shitty qb class could equal weirdness.

When roquan left I thought I'd never see another MLB as good as him in my life. There just wasn't anything he wasn't elite at, and it was so insane to me how smart he was on the field. He knew every play the offense was gonna run, all the time. It was uncanny. And now lo and behold it's only a few years later and we basically have his clone that's just as good. Crazy to think about.

I say 3. Of Dean, Wyatt, and Cine one of the will get in. I just don’t see all 3.
