Our Front 7 will stay very strong next year assuming JD stays(which is a real possibility.) We will retain essentially our entire offense. Our DB's are my only real worry - I hope Kirby will be aggressive in the portal.

Our team next year is looking really good.

Stokes and LeCounte are gonna be missed. Those two were big time playmakers the last couple of years.

DJ Daniel opting out is an odd decision. He didn’t play nearly as much this season with Campbell healthy and could’ve used the bowl game to help showcase his ability to play CB.

Devonte Wyatt is apparently returning in 2021. That is huge for next year’s defense.

PFF has him projected to go in the top 15.

If you see that in a projection, you leave.

We have a very good chance of losing 3 Olinemen. Cleveland is almost certainly gone, and Shaffer and Hill are strong possibilities.

Hill MIGHT come back since he has been injured, but I think his leaving is at best 50/50.

This is going to be the new reality for our Oline. Players take a year or two to get their bodies at optimum to play the Oline, then they leave after a year. That said, there are exceptions to the rule. (Andrew Thomas)

I think next year could be our most complete team, and could rival the 2017 team for being our best to date.

Yea,I think getting a 6th year out of an was gonna be a little too much to ask.

Hell, the way our guys jump ship,we were lucky to get this year out of em.

It sucks that some of our OL are leaving, but we have plenty of talented guys chomping at the bit to play. Our line this year was in a transition year, it only gets better from this point forward.

I didn't realize that he was playing in the senior bowl, but I would have been shocked if he had come back.

I'm not saying we are as good as Alabama.....but I think our depth is close. We will have to reload.

There seems to be a small ingredient missing compared to Alabama. I might be wrong, but Alabama players seem to have just a tad bit more "want to". They just seem to play a little bit more whistle to whistle. Not a lot, but just a little....and it makes all the difference in the world. I'm not sure if it is coaching, or instilled in the kids or what it is.

That said, it could be all in my head.

I’m not saying he’s a lock to get picked in the first round. You never know what will happen. But if you are projected to go that early, you should leave. It’s pretty simple.

Could be or could be they're just spitting out LOADS of NFL talent. The last 4 years they've AVERAGED 11 players drafted and close to 4 first rounders annually.Just absolutely ridiculous numbers. While we're spitting out guys its not close to those numbers. They should have at least four 1st rounders again this spring and we'll probably have one. We have to close that gap to get where we want to be.

Look at LSU last tear,5 first rounders and
13 drafted.

All are insane numbers but it's where we have to be these days to compete at the highest level.

Don't understand why there are so many absolutes in these comments. Something "will" happen or this "is" what will happen. Then calling someone out if they don't agree with your absolute.

Feels like a giant Dork-Off

No doubt they are. But....so are we. And our recruiting classes have been as good as theirs.

Which goes back to my point. Why aren't we? Our classes have been as good, so there is some missing ingredient. Something is missing.

One argument would be the QB that rises above, which I think we now have. Maybe that is what is missing.
We'll know next year.

But I think it is more. I honestly believe there is a year long focus that is missing. The ability to stay focused game after game for an entire year.

Agree and wish I knew as well. We've got to narrow the gap.

Our 2018 class were just juniors this season.

People see great recruiting and expect results yesterday.

I have faith that we will get there. The next 17 months will be huge to kirby's continuing recruiting success.
