I wouldn't say insider. I would say he is the inside. I'm not bragging, just saying.. Trust me that he is a valid source.

Has he ever been inside of you ?

I bet many insiders say this about every recruit. Sometimes they are right, sometimes they are wrong.

Glad you are a good sport. Have fun here.

Make it where?
Here. I think that, at some point over the next two years, Fromm becomes the starter. I think Fromm will show obviously superior poise, athleticism and accuracy.

Eason has a rocket for an arm, and obviously I want him to excel. But I am simply worried (from what I have seen. I know he is a freshman) that maybe the reason he was putting up Madden-like numbers in Seattle was because he was 3 feet taller than his left tackle. Maybe he needs a season to get into his groove.
I hope that Fromm competition will boost our play. Let's face it.. Ramsey was never going to start. The offseason QB competition was simply to see if Jacob could learn just enough to start. We were going to make him the starter the whole time IMO.

It's possible. I am a little disappointed with the accuracy. I think Eason is just a little nervous back there. I realize to a certain extent that speaks to poise, but on too many occasions when the game has been on the line, Eason has taken control and made plays. That, for me, speaks more to poise.
I agree, that Fromm looks to be a special talent. But I doubt he comes in and starts over Eason. he will, probably, red shirt his first year, then hold a clipboard him red shirt freshman year, then start his sophomore year. Just guessing, of course.

That and they don't play the same brand of football we do in the southeast. However, in camps he did well against superior talent, so I think he will be fine.

Me and you both.

And Lambert is, well, Lambert.
Wow,spirited defense! Still doesn't address the fact he was a 4 star QB playing
in highly competative region in Ga and was also offered by Bama amongst others,

Ramsey ran the triple option at Camden and started playing football in middle school
So what?He was still offered by every major SEC school after summer camps and 7 on 7's and he wasn't offered on his ability to run the Wing-T

I think Fromm backs up Eason until Eason leaves UGA for the NFL.

Agree. Then Justin Fields takes over.

That would be my guess. Eason has NFL size and arm strength. He just needs good blocking and equally talented receivers to get our offense rolling.

And I'm sure Saban cries himself to sleep every night over losing out on the Lambert sweepstakes.

Not even close to the point...just comparing HS backgrounds between both QBs

There are SEC teams that would take our top 5 lineman and WRs in a heartbeat. They may not all start, but they would take them. We just are not getting the best out of them. It's that simple really.

As far as the oline goes...Sam Pittman is regarded as one of the best oline coaches in college football. So are you trying to tell me that he can't coach these guys up? If not then the guy is simply a good recruiter and it makes him look better on the field.

That is one that I don't get. If they players can't execute your complex system, then as a coach, you gotta adjust your scheme to your talent. They just haven't done that and it makes no sense to me.

It's reassuring to know that our starters would be backups on said SEC teams.
Look, Peter, we get it. You think that most of the issues with our current team are related to coaching. But any honest assessment recognizes that the performance of any team is a combination of coaching and the talent of the individual players. Yes, this is Kirby's first year as a HC and no doubt he has much to learn about being a HC in his first season. But he was an assistant HC and one of the best DC's in the nation for 7 years under Saban who is arguably the best college HC in the nation. Smart also surrounded himself with experienced assistants with Chaney as OC, Pittman as the OL coach and Mel Tucker as the DC. Pittman in particular was highly successful at Arkansas: LINK
=================================================
Pittman, who is universally considered one of the nation’s best offensive line coaches and recruiters, spent three seasons at Arkansas.
From 2012-15, a Pittman-coached offensive line has led the SEC in fewest sacks allowed—three years at Arkansas and one at Tennessee. Arkansas allowed only 1.00 sacks per game in 2015, 1.08 in 2014, and 0.67 in 2013. In 2012, Pittman coached the Tennessee offensive line that led the SEC with just 0.67 sacks allowed per game.
====================================================
Bottom line: There is no reason to believe that our OL problems are almost entirely related to coaching.

I guess the difference here is I understand football and see what is happening out there and know scheme is a definite... significant issue in our woes and your assessment is based on pay recruiting service "rankings" of 17 year old boys.,, so, whatever works for you...
