Receive Bonus Hartman Fund Priority points by purchasing Belk Bowl Tickets!

William C. Hartman Fund Donors who purchase tickets to the Belk Bowl scheduled for December 30, 2014 will receive bonus points to their cumulative priority. This is a limited offer and tickets are currently on sale with limited availability in the club level at $125 each and lower level at $85. When purchased by a donor to the Hartman Fund, bonus points will be applied to their lifetime score at a rate equal to the purchase price of tickets (excludes processing fee). For example, purchase 4 lower level tickets at $85 and receive 340 points. Bonus points will not apply to annual donation requirements; only cumulative priority.

All Hartman Fund donors who have previously ordered Belk Bowl tickets will receive this special one-time credit toward their cumulative Hartman Fund priority point total.

Belk Bowl ticket purchasers who are not currently Hartman Funds donors can also take advantage of this unique offer. Visit LINK / to make a 2015 Hartman Fund contribution. New 2015 donors who purchase Belk Bowl tickets will receive the one-time cumulative point credit.

To receive credit, orders must be placed through the UGA Ticket Office at LINK or by calling 877-542-1231 Monday thru Friday.

Bonus points will be applied to participating donor accounts by Jan. 15, 2015.

Yeah, that sucks. I know there are haters out there, but this could actually be a good game. Looking at available seats on the Belk Bowl website, it looks to me like the majority of the upper level haven't sold and about 50% of the club & lower level have sold.

I got 4. I did my part.

If we played UL @ Sanford this year, lower level would be going $150 easy on the secondary market. Good sideline seats would be $200+.

I realize Dec 30th in Charlotte is not the same as October in Athens...but fans shell out way more than $85 regular season. The fact that we can't sell out a decent bowl suggests that something's broke in the bowl picture.

I usually get my tickets through the school but it is just silly when there are going to be so many third party tickets on the market.

Plus my bowl experience says people will be giving them away on the street.

I give enough...no guilt on this one.

Gonna be a lot of empties in most of the SEC non-playoff bowls this year, I expect. The exceptions being Texas-Arky and maybe Jacksonville, which'll be 95% Voles.

We have the shortest drive of all but also a non destination city on a Tuesday that isn't officially a holiday.

At least the game time is decent.

I am going up (if weather isn't crap) just going to be a last minute call. Gonna try my luck with tickets onsite.

NEVER NEVER NEVER buy tix from the Athletic Dept..they suck and are usually overpriced for what you can get at the stadium...

Um.

4 lower tickets from school = $355
4 club tickets from school = $515

4 lower tickets from bowl site = $464
4 club tickets from bowl site = $652

Plus there's that whole thing about supporting our school, you know, if you care about that.

I get that they're cheaper on gameday at the stadium, but that has nothing to do with the athletic department. If you're going to buy tickets in advance, the athletic department is where you should get them imo. Stubhub will probably get cheaper as time goes on.

It's not a terrible idea to look into if you don't have season tix or contribute to the Hartman fund currently but are considering it...

You could open up a Hartman fund acct. with $115 & buy 4 lowers for $85 each for the Belk Bowl & would have $500 credited to your acct. (which would satisfy the $250/seat requirement for 2 season tix). Then you could roll the dice hoping $500 would get you '15 tix (took $1000 for '14) if ticket demand dropped slightly...

If it didn't, you'd have $500 in Hartman & another $500 would prolly get you in, in '16...

The points they're giving out don't go towards the $250/seat minimum, so you'd still have to donate $500 on top of your Belk ticket purchase. If you were already planning on donating & going to the bowl, this is a pretty good bonus...but if you weren't planning to donate, I don't think this is large enough incentive to jump on board 'just because'.

Dec 30th is the ringer. It's an awkward date. A lot of people are still traveling from Christmas and some of us have to work on the 31st.

There are likely thousands of people who spend tons of money "supporting the school" every year that would simply rather buy tickets on site for $30 instead of the $85 from UGA. Has nothing to do with support.

The secondary market is a big factor in why, aside from the NC (or playoff now I guess), schools always have trouble selling their bowl tickets. Even BCS tickets were hard to sell the last few years at 165+ each face value. People know they can wait and get tix on the secondary market much cheaper. Especially if they're making a family trip and want to take everyone, there can be a significant price difference doing so.

Same people that are dumbfounded by this are the same people who think the program is heading in the right direction.
