Payback is a bitch. What say you?

Thinking Lizards will stack the line and blitz us to try to stop our run game. Start Fields and see what happens. If he doesn't perform as a lot of us think, bring in Fromm.

I really doubt Fields starts the game. However, I do think Fromm is on a shorter leash the rest of the season.

I just hope we can get back to running the ball. Holyfield and Swift should both be getting 15-20+ carries each in this game.

I bet multiple people here will give you any odds you want for a bet on Fields to start. Not happening.

I'd like to see him start for the first quarter and see what he can do. We need to see if he is effective and accurate with his passing. I don't want to see Fromm take us down the field to the red zone and then bring in Fields. Lets see what kind of arm the kid has.

Kirby hasn't done any of these things throughout the course of blowout non conference games, so what rationally makes you think he iwould change starters in the most important regular season game of his career?

I honestly don't think Kirby will change anything on the QBs. But if Fromm isn't making the plays, we've got to bring in Fields. Again, its time for us to see what the kid can do other than handing off the ball to our RBs.

Why not? It's exactly what I'd like to see.The ONE time we did it vs LSU we scored a TD...we should have done it 3 more times...woulda have scored alot more than 3 points.

I say that because I think Fields does have the capability of taking them down field and then score. Lets not limit him to the red zone. But I guess we will all see what Kirby will do next Saturday.

Starting Fields in this game makes no sense. Fromm is the starter and I don't see that changing from 1 bad game.

With that stated, I do think if Fromm starts to struggle you will see Fields. Don't think they will bring him in on 1 RPO and then he goes out. When Fields comes in Saturday, I expect him to get full series as he should have last week.

I agree that Fromm had a horrible game against LSU. But his performance this entire season so far has been average. However, I do not completely blame Fromm for it. We do not have the seniors from last year and I thought poor coaching had a negative impact with the game against LSU. I just want to see them give Fields more opportunities to see how he handles real pressure from SEC teams. If he cant, bring him out and put from back in Fromm.

Here's the thing. We went up on Florida 21-0 in the first half of the first quarter last year. (7:32 mark) Are you prepared to have the opposite happen to us so you can see if Fields is ready or not?
A game can get away from you really quick. I think we all want to see Fields and see what he can do, but I want to play the QB that gives us the best chance to win. If Kirby thinks it is Fromm, then fine. If he thinks it is Fields...fine.
He gets paid $6 million a year to make those decisions. I get paid $0 a year to make those decisions for a reason. I'll let the guy who gets paid to make those decisions make those decisions. If he makes a mistake it will cost him $6 mil. a year or more. I can assure you, he wants to make the right decision.

I agree. I hate it when they bring them in for one play.

Florida's defense will blitz early and often. We know this from Grantham being here. He runs a high-risk and often low reward scheme. We have to make them pay for those blitzes. The biggest reason LSU lost to them was the blitz package they employed.

Secondly, we must seal the edges. Polite and Zuniga have been hell on wheels this season at pressuring the QB and stopping the run on the edge.

Last time we played against a Grantham-coached defense, Chubb got 270 yards rushing and set a Belk Bowl record. Last time we played a strong running team with Grantham coaching our defense was the 2012 SECCG...and Alabama got 350 on the ground alone.

We can run on this defense...we just have to hope that Chaney doesn't panic and stop running the ball like he did last week.

Thats why Kirby gets paid the big money. I trust him on the decision. But we all have our own armchair QB opinions

Except the game didn't get away from us quickly. And when it did, it was more on two secondary breakdowns and one long run breakdown....those were on the defense, not Fromm.

Did Fromm play poorly? Yes. But the game didn't get away from us quickly. It was 3-0 at the end of the first quarter.

That's fair. But it has been a continuous topic for a week, and probably will be for another week.

Don't get me wrong. I would like to see more of Fields, too, so I understand the sentiment. I'm just not prepared to take chances while we still have a chance at:
1. Playoff spot
2. SEC Championship
3. SEC East Championship

That said...if we lose one more game, then I would say put Fields in and get him ready. But yes, give him more playing time than he is getting now.

Team Fields thinks Fromm called a poor game, missed blocks, dropped balls, and missed tackles. He’s soley responsible for the loss and should be kicked off the team
