It's not fact.

Gurley ran it on second down and got 3 yards. Then on third down Mason's pass to Gurley got tipped at the line. It was intended for Gurley and there is a chance he would have scored but more than likely he would have been tackled inside the 5.

That pass definitely looks like it's intended for Bennett, but I do appreciate you going back and checking. I think if he would have thrown to Gurley, he might have scored.

Regardless, I'm sorry for taking away from the original thread premise.

Yeah, after looking closer it does appear to be headed to Bennett. I was influenced by the AP article that said it was intended for Gurley.

Even if it was to Gurley I'm not sure he would have had a TD. However, being the freak that he is he may have been able to squeeze in there.

This is the part that most people miss...

The ball was given to Gurley the next 2 plays and I don't think we gained a yard. Then the chip field goal was missed, I believe.

I like how you said that as a fact, vs. thinking that was what happened.

Ummm. My bad.
I rewatched the game back in 2015, and that's the last time I saw it (as if "I believe" and "I think" aren't enough to state that I am going from memory).

But the premise remains the same. Day after coaching likes to bitch and assume that a handoff to Gurley would go as planned. 4 plays and none of them were executed well. But all the fans see is the playcalling.

It seems like You excuse every mistake mason made and don’t give murrray the same benefit.

We were at the 4. The one time we did hand it off on that drive Gurley got 3 yards. Do the math. It was bad play calling, Bobo got cute.

I just think Mason was a hell of a QB who would have put up some great numbers had he started more than 1 season.

We must have watched a different QB, because he was no better than serviceable at best. Aaron Murray was light years better than Mason.

The 2 statements aren't necessarily 1 or the other. I think HM was criminally underrated by our fans and was a very good QB (much better than "servicable at best". I also think Murray was much better adn would take Murray 10 times out of 10 over Mason. Just because Murray was fantastic doesn't make Mason any worse.

Mason's turnover frequency was very low. Murray's was high. I also down rate Murray for his tendency to get receivers blown up.

So you are mad at people like my comment and turn around and say you don't care?? You seem like the stupid one. For your info. I have 2 or 3 likes on the first and 2nd pages on my comments. Whoops! Jealousy is a evil trait. Maybe a pad can stop the bleeding.
