No witnesses, no crime.

I'll get the quicklime and grass seed, you dig the holes, and then we just need a couple of hitters.

Dawgnation has some details now...

"nervous small pieces of marijuana"? I assume that's a typo for "numerous"? Are the typos in this story Dawgnation's or poor grammar on the part of the officer?

So he's just going to illegally park with weed in the car. He's not too bright.

The spelling, punctuation, all of it is awful. Not sure whether to blame Emerson or did he copy and paste directly from the officer's report? Either way, sloppy as hell.

True.

However, if Bama's starting linebacker pulled up to a downtown Tuscaloosa store, parked illegally to run inside real quick... the story wouldn't end with jail.

Patrick would walk out, say I'm sorry my bad.... and he gets a warning for the parking violation, and maybe the cop calls the coaches to snitch on the suspected weed odor/sprinkles.

But no way dude gets handcuffed and booked in Tuscaloosa, unless Nick wanted him booked.

I'm just glad to know he has plenty of money to buy weed and pay the fine. Thank goodness he is not a player complaining about not having money.

It is illegal. Until the state legislature and the federal government change that, then the players need to leave it alone.

My thoughts on this is possession of a certain amount will equal that of an open container offense eventually.

The school needs to adjust their rules accordingly but it's a deep southern Republican state...

Should be a big and physical linebacker to compliment Roquan. Rice and Crowder should fit the bill. They may be too green tho, pun intended .

So do you care about player safety? So the NFL isn't have a huge problem with brain damage?

Who cares what the laws are? Do we not have the right to self medicate? Or do only the Drs have the right to medicate the people?

I'm glad to see you want to ignore the medical evidence to the health benefits of cannabis and the value it brings to helping the players heal from such a violent sport. Yes the laws are illegal, but does that make the law right? Just because there is a law in place, does that make it right? What about the women who had to fight inequality? The minorities? Should they have just shut up because, you know the laws?

Yeah man, that brain damage is totally worth it. I'm glad we are putting our faith in those politicians to get things right. /s

I agree with your premise that they should be allowed to. They should. We all should. Weed should be legalized. But it's not and sitting here going on a rant about opiate addiction is pretty irrelevant when the much more likely case us trez just felt like getting high.

I like you how bust my balls for assuming, but you can assume away?

Why can't he want to smoke and as a byproduct, help protect his brain from football related injuries? Cannabis is legal in many states for medical reasons, and yes it is even legal in GA medically. So why is it so far fetched for players to see the medical value of weed?

but in life, we deal with what is, and this guy is a boneheaded fricktard for getting popped with weed
Yeah man, fricktard should just pop pills for pain.

quote:

Chronic administration of the major drugs of abuse including opiates, alcohol, nicotine, and cocaine has been reported to suppress hippocampal neurogenesis in adult rats (20–23), suggesting a potential role of hippocampal neurogenesis in the initiation, maintenance, and treatment of drug addiction (13).

Unless you got a study that can refute this, which I would be down to read, it shows that opiates and alcohol suppress hippocampal neurogenesis.

So yeah frick the player for not wanting to pop pills and use a plant which won't kill you. Yeah man, sorry to disappoint you as a fan. Too bad these players can't just entertain us while in their prime, and then we can just forget about them after they left UGA/NFL. Who gives a frick if they are half retard from injuries and brain trauma by the age 50. Yeah man, we gotta keep to those laws tho. Maybe we can get our future commits to just pop some pills instead and drink alcohol for pain instead. frick using a safe plant which can actually heal you.
