Kids at Bama don't have to deal with Athens police. They get off on arresting students and players

Would be nice, but if arrest is legit, and he's on #2.... Auburn before he plays. He'll need to come back next year as well.

So should we worry about the defense play now?

You would think so, but I haven't heard his number called much this year.

This recruiting class was supposed to be the best we've had in 20+ years. This is where they have a chance to prove it.
Richard LeCounte stepped up when Parrish was out. Now it looks like it's Rice's turn.

Hm. That's surprising to me. I honestly don't recall seeing that many at all.

What's the depth chart looking like for tommorow?

no highlight plays or anything. that's for sure. but he's been consistent. Rice will need to step up and probably McBride

I saw a cut and paste of the charges and bond on another board... weed wasn't on there.
What's the deal?
ETA its on page one of this thread.

I fully agree with the sentiment here of the post... but I would argue that it's more than just 5 months. It's all year... we drug test kids coming back from spring break FFS...
Overall, hopefully with the decriminalization we saw voted on in Atlanta, maybe it starts to lessen the stigma, but for now... definitely a herp derp mistake midseason with a lot on the line.
My thought now is - does this make him *more* or *less* likely to leave early. I would have said prior to this he was on track to return, but a 3rd mistake is a full season and likely would wreck his chances at any draftability. Needs to come back with his hair on fire and play lights out the rest of this season, or he needs to get his head on straight and lay off the weed at least until he hits paydirt.

Monty Rice has looked fast and explosive every time he's been on the field.

Just to make this clear it's Reggie Carter with the concussion not Lorenzo

Yeah, I'm sure that's the reason. Sort of how people buy cocaine for eye surgery, meth for weight loss, and heroin as an anti-diarrheal.

Also it is funny how most of yall are shitting on a player who uses weed, even with all this information (plus many more studies out there). Seems like most of you guys don't give a shite about the actual players health, and more about the school winning at all costs. When they look back in a 100 years and see this time period as one big shite stain when it comes to a student using a plant that can help your brain after trauma.
You are putting the cart WAAAAAY before the horse. If he comes out with a statement specifically saying that is why he had the weed (and even better, if he can get his doctor to appear with him when he does), great, maybe he was using for medicinal reasons. It's still illegal, but at least he's given an explanation.
