That’s was I was thinking. Of course he won. NCAA knows there’s no season. Why take the heat for not granting eligibility?

So does he leave if there’s no season? I’m kinda confused how this works or how many more years can he stay?

Theoretically he could, but he definitely needs more good game tape before he even considers the NFL.

I don't know what to think, the season is going to be screwy anyway.

QB competition just got interesting, but I think Newman still wins.

If Newman gets the nod. With COvid would it not make sense to "redshirt" Daniels?
I mean even if there is a season anything won will have an * to it and this is season is basically a glorified exhibition season.

I think the smart think for Kirby is say great thanks NCAA. Hey JT you are not going to take a snap anyway, so we have 3 years after covid.

Daniels used his redshirt last year.

I like Newman a lot, but Daniels is an NFL kid. The only HS QBs in the last 4 years who looked better are Fields and Lawrence.

May the best man win. I'm rooting for Newman because it's his last year, but I really hope Kirby doesn't start him just to keep a promise.

This could be a championship team. Screw the optics. Play the best kid.

I think both play a lot. That would give opposing defenses a lot to prepare for

Lol

FWIW-

Was told Daniels would get the waiver mainly because he sat out the majority of last season, USC was ok with his decision to transfer, and the likelihood that USC would not have in person classes in the fall.

There was one intial counter left in the cycle and it had to be used. They expected the waiver to be granted from the start. That was a big reason they took him.

Hate that we'll lose Newman after this year. Whatever happens in the strange season that's coming, you can bet that crowning a national champ will be a futile effort. History will overlook anything that happens this year, which pretty much guarantees the Dawgs will run the table. Would be the most "Georgia" thing ever.

Newman is a better pro prospect than Daniels.

We may have the most talented team in our history and it could all go to waste for at least this year. Our luck is straight shite.
