I think Kirby has been preparing for this game all summer tbh.

My inner Disney says this is the case. We have too much talent at WR to have been defined by McHonkey and Bowers. Yes, BB19 was a generational talent at the position, but we more than held our own without him during the middle of the season last year.
I hope all that practice Arian Smith was said to have put in on the hands machine/ball launcher wasn't in vain.

It works both ways. Bama could be saving stuff too.

I disagree. I think Bama had no choice but to open it up in the 4th against USF. They haven’t looked back since.

Just remember, DeBoer is 107-12, and three of those losses were to the national champion.
Don't think this guy can't game plan.

Both DeBoer and our DC have admitted to holding back on both sides of the ball.
The offensive line had 3 starters either out of the game or playing out of position.
The biggest issue Alabama faced against USF was turnovers.
We had one on a long kickoff return, one on a long run and Milroe had one.
ETA: All fumbles.

Bama was about to go behind in the 4th quarter to USF. I’m sure they were protecting the play sheet.

Most of those wins came against weaker PAC-12 teams. He's just now getting into the SEC schedule. We'll know after 2 years.

Georgia was losing to Kentucky in the 4th quarter and they didn't?

Sounds like exactly what I would say if I had already opened my playbook up 3 games in. Gamesmanship is all that is.

Except he went 2-0 against Texas while Saban went 1-1.
He's been better than the competition at every level he's been.

Dan Lanning had him beat and then messed up. Kirby won't be as indecisive.
DeBoer simply doesn't have as much talent as Saban usually did, especially on defense.
Physicality is a must against DeBoer.

That record is misleading. If you look him up on Wikipedia, you'll see he didn't become a head coach of a Division I college football team until 2020. He lost six games in two seasons at Fresno State. After that, he moved to Washington, where he had two NFL wide receivers and a first-round NFL quarterback. While those two seasons were undoubtedly impressive, I'm curious how much of that success was due to him. Ultimately, we only have those two strong seasons at Washington to evaluate his performance.
