Doesn't surprise me. He's going to end up starting half a season at a nowhere school and be Uncle Rico for the rest of his life. He had so much promise, too.

Maybe I forgot but I don't remember thinking "man Park has so much promise" during his time at UGA.

I remember thinking that when I heard he was the Gatorade player of the year in SC, and then I watched him in the Army-All American game and thought he looked like hot garbage. Then every time I saw him play after that I continued to think he look like hot garbage.

He had as much promise as Ramsey. Both were ranked pretty close to one another (Ramsey with a higher ranking but lower on the prostyle qb list due to a more competitive class).

Ramsey was great in the elite 11 only in the sense that he had Alvin Kamara as his checkdown.

There were those among us who were Jacob Park fanatics. The biggest red flag for me was that both Clemson and USC, who needed QBs in hat cycle, looked at him and passed. The kid is his own worst enemy.

Clemson and USCe passed. But Bama gave the kid an official (not that they are known for the best judgments in recruiting QBs).

He is who he is. Sometimes those 4 star QBs pan out. Many times they dont. Getting so many QBs who never contribute is one reason why UGA recruiting classes always seem to underperform their ranking in years past.

He came in the class after Ramsey. He should be able to transfer and play if anyone is that desperate (cue Florida)

I remember USC fans being really pissed that he picked us. Not sure they ‘passed ‘ on him.

Eta Clemson fans had watson coming in that class so they didn’t care

A LOT of people passed on Mason Rudolph. Homeboy was going to go to Presbyterian.

Neither USC nor Clemson offered Park. They passed on him.

I remember seeing him at his first G-Day game and thinking he was a douche. Seems like that's followed him around.

I think we were hoping he wouldn't suck as bad as Ramsey or Bauta

There was a fair amount of "Ramsey and Park are gonna win us titles" talk back before they were both revealed to be total busts. Mason was going to be the caretaker, then it was going to be off to the races with Ramsey and Park, and then to the stratosphere with Eason. Didn't quite work out that way.

Anyone who wants to start winning immediately should sign him and then not play him. Not playing him seems to be a formula for success.
