He benefits greatly from KC’s offense. Idk if he’d be any good elsewhere. Surprising because I thought he had the potential to really become something.

What?

Are you serious?

Mecole has loads of talent and frick fat Chaney for not getting the ball in his hands more often in '18.

They targeted him three times early and he looked lost all three times.

Okay?

Is that supposed to a snapshot of his career and ability?

What was your point then?

His point, like mine, is simply that with all the talent KC has which gets him ample 1v1 opportunities it looks far too often like he doesn’t even know the ball was thrown to him. I just expect him to do more considering Kielce and Hill take so much of the heat off him.

This was your original point

And it made no sense.

Of course he'd be good on other teams and Tampa is obviously taking away KC's deep game tonight and making them earn yards underneath.

Sorry haven't noticed but it does happen with wide open offenses when receivers and QB's both have to make adjustments on the go.

I didn’t know there was an anti-Mecole contingent of the fan base. Learn something new every day

I’ll adjust my original stance then. Idk if he’d be any better elsewhere. That’s what I should have said and it is solely based on the fact that in KC he is the third option. That’s fine considering who the first 2 are, but when he came out I really thought that considering he’d only been getting reps as a full time receiver for a couple years at that point, that he could continue to develop and blossom into a version of Hill. I thought he could end up being a number one or 2 receiver. Sure he still could but at this point I’m not seeing development with him the way I had hoped. And no, that is not based on just this game.

I’m not anti-Mecole, Karen, I just pointed out he didn’t look like he even knew the ball was coming his way. Pointing out bad play doesn’t equate to being against him. And claydawg is right, Hill and their TE are their focus, which should give MH ample opportunity to get open.

He's never even played the position until 4 years ago and averaged 20 yards a catch and had 6 TD's as an NFL rookie in his THIRD year playing the position.

What makes you think he'll be a X receiver when he was never one at UGA?

Theres no evidence out there to suggest that he won't improve and is obviously still learning the position.

He has elite speed. Tampa had a defense that took away Kcs pass game. People will study it for a long time.

I think they remembered that Reid hates to run the ball. Kept two safeties back for the majority of the game and had White and David swarming kelce and the underneath passes. Dared Reid to commit to the run and he couldn't.

Mecole wasn't lost. They were shitty passes. He wasn't completing them to anyone.

This^^^^^

Mahomes was superman to get many of those passes out.
But they were not accurate passes.
Because of the OL, Mahomes failed to give his receivers much of a chance.

Kansas City drafted him thinking that they would have to cut Hill because of pending legal issues. Hill surprisingly had charged against him dropped so Hardman has had trouble consistently get on the field.
