Solicitor General is William Fleenor. Don't know why he won't nolle pros the case. Appears he went to Mercer Law and not UGA Law.

She should say she is Republican and he is a Democrat. Nobody would believe what she said to the police.

Yes. The solicitor prosecutes misdemeanors in both state and municipal court. Any felony jumps to superior court and the DA.

Remember, less than half of the counties have a state court. The DA would be handling it in the counties that don’t.

It is not unusual in domestic cases for the victim to recant for a number of reasons such as fear, pressure, “love”, or financial reasons.

My educated guess is that the video and photographic evidence collected on scene paints a different picture than the statement she is making now.

None of the above doesn’t mean that there will be a conviction/plea deal or an eventual dismissal.

This case was dead the minute she recanted in an affidavit and should have been dropped at the hearing this week. The police/DA not dropping the charges is nothing but vindictiveness at this point, because all they have is a witness who not only won't testify, but will rebut the charges.

I’m glad that you have no first hand experience with domestic violence. Truly, I am, because if you had, you’d already know the answers to your questions.

Pro tip, some people have experienced everything you have, know all the same information etc, and they STILL aren't going to agree with you. A logical argument goes a lot further than insulting other's knowledge.

It's hard wired in to the human condition and all the government can do is make it worse. That's what the government does with everything.

I've made logical statements.

I've also pointed out numerous times the correct information regarding which court and prosecutor have the case, but some here seem bent on continuing to make statements that aren't based on any sort of factual or logical basis.

What I don't find compelling or persuasive is wanting a case dismissed simply due to football.

I've had to deal with prosecutors like this one over the years.

They tend to be self-absorbed. I call these types, "Power Pricks."

Our government judicial system is so stressed that any situation that works it's self out should be cut and moved on from.
