re: I'm assuming with Evans probably on board that Swift is 100% gone. Anybody hear anything?

Dude, why on Earth would I make that up? What possible reason would I have for doing it?

This is what the idiot said in his original post that he mysteriously edited out.

now is the time to say adios to Swift AND Fromm

You think I GAS about his opinion after he posted something like this? It tells you everything you need to know about the guy.

What does it tell you, exactly? Enlighten the class.

We are saying adios to Swift. It's a given. It's not something I necessarily want, but it's been expected for some time. If he stays, it will be a surprise.

The ONLY thing you can argue with me over is about my personal feeling that Fromm isn't likely to revert back to his freshman year poise and productivity. I simply think we have seen his ceiling and I can't convince myself that next season will look much different than this one if some significant change doesn't happen on offense. Is it possible? Absolutely. Is it probable? I'm not sure I want to see another year wasted just to find out. We'll get smoked by any offense close to LSU's if we don't figure something out. If we make a BIG change at OC, then there is a real chance for Fromm to be a lot better than he was this year, but it's still a gamble.

I would LOVE to be wrong.

GFY.You're MORE than welcome to go back and look at my post from the summer of '17
I fully ecpected us to contend for the SEC title

Did we stop at an SEC title in 2017? You said that you fully expected our season. You foresaw being a play away from a natty, too, or no? Clarify, because it's what YOU said.

BTW, we contended for SEC titles under Richt on the regular, so that was not anything new. I wouldn't have thought that was such a stretch had you actually said that. But you didn't.

BTW look at my sig.I put that in there BEFORE the season began in '17 and haven't

I simply said we were lucky that offensive pieces worked out as they did and we were. As fans, we had no input, nor insight, into what Chubb and Michel decided to do. We got lucky. Would you feel better if I said it was a surprise? I'm glad you thought the cupboard was full, but you knew that by summer. I'm speaking to the entire context of the situation we had. All of that working out to where we had that full cupboard was a surprise. A welcome one, but a surprise nonetheless.

Yep,Sony and Chubb staying was NOTHING but pure blind luck...just like getting our commitment from Evans...just picked our name outta a hat.Pure luck!

See above. What would you call it? Them staying and Evans' commitment are two different things, by the way. The coaching staff had a lot to do with Evans, sure. But while they had a little say in Chubb and Michel's decision, that was ultimately up to two high-character guys making a choice to be a part of something bigger than themselves and foregoing MILLIONS of dollars to do it. It is extremely rare to see that these days. All I'm saying. If you don't like the word luck, find something you do like. But no one predicted it before it happened.

Dude you've got some serious anger issues.
and you've yet to make a coherent point yet.

You REALLY need thia explained to you? I explained it to once and you're not worth the time or energy.

I get it. "Fromm BAD!" "Coley BAD!" That's your entire narrative and if you don't think there are other complexities to what
went on with our offensive struggles I can't help you out.

BTW,what exactly was your prediction for the UF game this year and why?

Nah, dude. I'm stir-crazy as hell for a chicken sandwich right now. That's all. Simmer down, bro.

In spite of that fact, all of my points have been quite coherent, I assure you. If you weren't hell-bent on interpreting things the way you do, you might see it.

I've supported Fromm all year, but I have little hope that he is going to be the guy to lead a charge beyond just getting to the SEC title game. His last four or five games, never even hitting 50% on completions, was just atrocious. It won't get the job done. I get that our WRs have been a large part of it and drops have plagued them, too. But Fromm has also panicked and missed wide open guys quite a bit himself. It's not all on him, nor is it all on the receivers. Coley has managed to call some good plays here and there, but I don't think you can really look at his body of work and say that this guy deserves to be in the same role with this team come next year. I just don't know how you could see it.

I'm not sure the relevance here, but I don't know for sure that I had much of an opinion on it. I figured it would be a lot tougher of a game than last year based on what we'd seen up to that point, but that's about it. It could have been a toss-up in my mind.

I don’t disagree at all and wasn’t trying to say I wanted him gone. I said PERHAPS it is time to say adios, this assuming that Swift has already decided to leave, which most of us assume that he has. That’s all I’m saying.

I too was pleasantly surprised with the 2017 season. I also recall that preseason was filled with "We're going to win the Natty in 2018!" and "2018 is our year!"

I guess I’m giving him the benefit if the doubt as we beat the most prolific offense the world had ever seen (according to the commentators) in the Rose Bowl and Fromm was a part of that. I know that Sony, Chubb, Roquan, all played leading roles - but Fromm did as well.

None of us are in the locker room so we don’t know what happened since then. Lack of leadership, Fromm, coaching...who knows. But we KNOW he at least had it in him to do what needed to be done. I don’t see how that just goes away.

Maybe he gets his mojo again or maybe he doesn’t. But I know he’s got it in him to get us to the Natty with the right support8ng cast. That’s more than I can say with any new QB we have on the board.
