I’ll admit I didn’t think we were going to pull this out

Quite the feat to beat a top ten team while missing 13 players including 6 starters. I thought Baylor would want this more.

Offense found a way to score points and defense nutted up big time. Coaches had guys prepared and motivated and a thrown together OL did a pretty great job all things considered against a really good Baylor DL.

All in all this should dampen the doubts cast at Kirby’s ability to coach effectively. While the win itself doesn’t mean a ton to me, that this team played its arse off and actually took last year to heart tells me that we are going to be ok moving forward.

Really proud of this effort. 12 wins is nothing to sneeze at, even if it felt like I was being asked to come into work on a Saturday at times.

How bout them fricking dawgs?

Damn right. This was a season filled with adversity due to our offensive issues and I’m proud these kids sucked it up and gutted out a win despite all the negative bullshite and missing players.

I’m in with you; I didn’t either. I really don’t have words to express how impressed I am with our younger players

Really felt like the offense had its best game of the season.

Rhythm, energy, consistency seemed markedly improved despite missing several players.

Incredibly proud. I didn’t think we’d show up even after last year. Was very alarmed by all the random players sitting it out (Kirby’s comment about having all these seniors and only 5 or so even made the trip or whatever it was he said seemed telling) and was prepared for the worst. They played their arse off and at the end of the day that’s what matters. So proud.

We could have gone in the tank on this one. An unprecedented number of players not playing in the Sugar Bowl. But CKS kept his mouth shut and just continued to coach.

And the very young team responded. we went out and dominated.

Really good sign for the future.

Truth be told...I bet lot of the guys that weren’t there were due to not putting out rather than any discipline for something they did. Kirby said he was only taking the kids that wanted to play.

It seems the WRs are running good routes and making sharp cuts to create space. Even Landers and Simmons made good plays.
I feel really good about the OL and DL next season. I think the entire defense will be strong. Zeus looked great. Our offense next year will be fantastic. Back to the SECCG.

One thing I've noticed about Smart's teams is they play their asses off when they are doubted.

see: 2017 SEC title game, 2018-2019 Florida, last night, etc.

Fromm had his go to guy and it made the difference. They did want it more and the Texas loss last year gave them some inspiration. Young guys stepped up.

The large number of guys that get playing time all season helped us last night. I can’t help but think it is huge in the recruiting trail. Who can say they more dudes than us?

How 'bout them dawgs!! Good on Fromm for playing better and more so, our WRs for CATCHING the friggin ball. Except #16, gotta work on those hands in the off season.
