...does Paul Johnson's seat get too hot to sit? If they can him, who do they chase?

You think we have problems with our admins, boosters, and general culture surrounding the program?
Tech cares far less than we do. They'd sooner have a smug fat arse that thinks he is the smartest man in the stadium as their coach than anyone with an actual ability to recruit and win consistently. Paul Johnson embodies everything Tech fans love: smugness, feelings of mental superiority, and going out of his way to be different by running the triple option.

I don't disagree, but they eventually canned Chan. I have to think that if this season doesn't get him, another one like it certainly will.

Chan actually recruited, though. He made a point toget guys like Calvin Johnson and Phillip Wheeler and Morgan Burnett on the roster. And he failed with those guys.
Meanwhile, Johnson thumbs his nose at recruiting and plays it off as he can succeed in his system regardless of stars. And Tech fans EAT THAT shite UP. You've got to think, most of that fanbase is made up of the kids that always got picked last for teams in gym class. They are in love with the guy that comes in and says "I don't care how shitty you look, I'm going to make you a winner." That's endearing to them. All he has to do is upset a UGA or FSU every now and then, thereby "proving" that his method works. "We can beat the popular kids with intelligence and wit!" TICKLE PILE IN THE ENDZONE!

I made the mistake of checking out stingtalk prior to the game last year. They make tRant look like a bunch of scholars debating the intricacies of the game of football.
