That’s right he is the president and it’s a free speech country. Not sure what the problem is.

I guess I'd expect more professionalism from a man of such high status but at this point that's just wishful thinking

He is the trendsetter. Now every president of every country is using twitter to talk directly to the people without a media filter. Crazy times we're witnessing. And this is just the beginning.

Eight years of "acting presidental" got us on the track to where we are now. I appreciate Trump's brashness. It's refreshing.

No years of establishment bullshite got us where we are right now. Trump promised to change that and outside of a few things he hasn't.

No thanks to the democrats that went outside the legislative process and pursued judicial avenues to block literally every fricking thing he's tried to do, by judge shopping and getting injunctions against executive orders for very basic shite that have never been injoined before.

Stop playing guppy pond boy.

Oh I'm sorry I didn't realize it was the Dems who sold weapons to the Saudis, or were the ones that forced Trump to support the anti BDS movement, guess they also forced him to tweet "you loot, we shoot", and I guess it's the Dems fault Trump does the yo-yo tactic when it comes to the middle east

See, this is why I get frustrated with people who have a disagreement and want to debate but then are caught not telling the truth or saying things that aren’t accurate. I hate to do this to you because you seem somewhat level headed and not completely ate up with the disease that permeates our left wing media and humans but you just did something that they do and that’s not ok. He never said - you loot , WE shoot. It’s this kind of thing that’s so disturbing about humans. Do you think we can’t just look up what was actually said?

His exact words were - when the looting starts - the shooting starts. No where in that is a threat to shoot anyone. Keep in mind a pawn shop owner was killed that same night during a robbery.

I always try to reflect accuracy in my post and while my opinion may not always be correct or what people want them to be - but I’ll never word something in the worst possible light about something that was said that is completely disingenuous. This kind of thing needs to stop. Maybe that’s what you wanted it to say so you can hate the man but that’s just a lie.

Are you being intentionally obtuse or you do you just have a different definition of "the shooting starts"

No but I’m not a liar. You quoted it say “We shoot”. That’s a lie - that’s not what was said. Why can’t you just quote what was actually said instead of lying. If your ideas are good and your argument is sound you wouldn’t need to lie or twist words to suit your narrative. That’s a problem. Just be honest - it’s ok to not lie and distort. Our media does enough lying. Don’t try to peddle that non sense here. Admit you were caught lying and move on.

It wasn't the exact words but it was a paraphrase. Have fun deflecting from the fact that Trump actually called for shooting Americans

So we got to the root of the issue. You are willing to lie to support your narrative and you got caught. Can't debate with disingenuous liars. I don't have to deflect anything. You got busted distorting truth. Not once have you seen me lie or distort anything. What I say may be inconvenient for you but I don't have to lie to get my point across. Maybe you wanted him to say WE shoot or that the military would shoot but that's not what was said nor was it implied.

Is that you Acosta? In what world is what you said paraphrasing. Adding or removing words from a tweet or statement to make it sound worse is a hack job that you lefties always do. That’s not paraphrasing

Not really. Trump says a lot of unnecessary shite, but he didn’t say they were going to start shooting Americans.

Looting pretty much always leads to/comes with serious and deadly violence on the part of looters, police, store owners, etc. That’s just a fact. Taken at face value, that’s pretty clearly what his quote was getting at.

So many times people (media, left etc) take what he says and walk it backwards to make it fit some racial agenda to make him seem racist. That’s what happened with the “looting shooting” tweet. Other times I do feel like he’s dog whistling a little. The ‘vicious dogs’ getting released on people was almost too random to not be some nod towards 60’s stuff. He would have the election wrapped up if he’d put his phone down for a few months.

Taking the comment any other way is pretty much willfully dishonest and done simply for political gain with those either incapable of parsing the truth or those predisposed to a negative opinion about anything the man says. If it had been the previous POTUS, all the lefties would miraculously understand exactly what was meant.

Being either a Dem or a Pub was not a smear upon someone’s name, once upon a time. It was just an opportunity to debate. We had this thing called the “reasonable person” standard.
We are so fricking far from a reasonable person standard now that I am literally just waiting to see reports of someone irrigating crops with Brawndo.

We are there, folks.

Well, dawgfan24348 is an admitted Bernie bro, so there's that. Of course he's going to be dishonest about it.

No he didn't, doe doe.

He said that rioting startes. Shooting starts. You read it the way you wanted to read it, but not the way many reasonable people read it.

1). Rioting.
2). Shooting
a. it could be National Guard and cops putting down the criminals
b. it could be rioters shooting each other, shooting innocent people and people defending their homes and lives

Which one happened? a. or b. ?

The "when the looting starts the shooting starts" tweet was intended as a threat to make Trump look like a tough guy. People who take that tweet as something else are being disingenuous.
