...of hearing for the next 2 weeks how they are 'doomed' without Bowers and have ZERO chance of winning any championships this season? Does anyone besides me, think that this whole injury to BB thing could very well unite this team and make them come out with a mountain-size chip on their shoulders and play with something to prove the rest of the way?

Just a feeling...

They probably don't read the rant.

Where are you hearing this? I haven’t seen anyone say they can’t win any championships without Bowers…well, at least not anyone that wasn’t already saying that prior to Bowers injury

Former GT beat writer Ken Suguira was carrying on in this manner.

I hope the media blows this narrative up the entire time.

The guys on the xm college football channel that I listen to all day aren’t saying it. They’re all saying these games are very winnable and it will be a bonus if he returns for Tennessee. I even heard one guy say that if you’re Bobo that you’ve got it even easier now bc you get to spread the ball around more. I’m going to remain in the camp that thinks Delp is going to show out getting more touches. Kid looked great in the spring game. If he hadn’t fumbled that catch at auburn he was about to hit the truck stick on two auburn defenders.

Beck has been throwing the ball to other receivers, the national media may not know that.

I think you are going to see other guys step up and be more of a factor because someone has to be with Bowers on the shelf.

This may also get the team more focused on the task at hand, if they need that with what they have left on the schedule

We usually have 10-12 guys recording catches per game. I don't know why other fanbases are under the mistaken impression that Bowers is the only target in 2023.

Ladd and Arian Smith haven't even scored touchdowns this season, FFS.

Honestly, I am excited to see what they can do without the Bowers "crutch".

I think Bowers play just gets subsidized by the other TE and WR's and collectively there will be little to no drop off.

That is not to slight Bowers, but more speaks to the depth we have at those spots.

We could see no drop-off for most of our regular season games.

But Bowers often shined in the biggest games.
We would feel it playing the best of the best.

Hopefully, he will be a leader out on the field for those contests.

Worst case scenario Brock is good to go for the tech game and we don’t need him so he’s limited or held out.
Best case he’s back for our trip to Neyland.
Just depends on what we do between now and then. FU Mizz and ole piss
Contrary to popular belief, this isn’t some bullshite mid tier team who has one good player that makes the offense go.
There’s talent and weapons everywhere.
Beck is starting over two guys who would be starting at 99% of power 5 schools right now and that includes a lot of the sec.
We’re fine but I think a lot hinges on the health of McConkey being there as a leader and a first down getter.

He should be back at that point (SECG). Nearly 7 weeks from now. More than enough time to get back, be on a pitch count or even a decoy

I think the only BS narrative I’ve seen is from our own tbh… well not exactly our own. Dawgnation is technically scum of the earth AJC so theoretically they count as outsiders.

Kirby slipped up in a press conference and said Ladd is only good for a half a game before his back flares up. We aren't going to be able to count on Ladd to be the savior here. A valuable component, yes. Critical component. But not the savior. We need the other guys to step up.

Nobody said they read the rant. This is a national story, because he’s a beast. They know what’s being said, because the coaches tell them in meetings in that TE/WR room. Brock is a freak, but we have other freaks too at TR, just not as explosive as Bowers.

Look to see a heavy dose of Thomas, Lovett, and MRJS. Delp won’t see the attention Brock got. He’ll be open A LOT. I’m hoping we throw Luckie in there at some point to surprise the defenses.

Luckie had same surgery Brock just had. I’m no offensive coordinator. But we can still 2 tight end sets with those guys. Brock is a game changer, no doubt. Best thing is these two guys take off running. Meat of schedule is ahead.
