How much better would Mason do this season? Honestly?

I know the first several games Mason was absolutely terrible on 3rd down conversions where he attempted a pass. Plus throw in Gurley and he makes the offense look that much better.

I just see Mason as being the same type of qb that we have on the roster. That is his main weapon is the short passes, which Hutson hardly completed passes over 10 yards. Also Hutson only passed over 200 yards in 1 game last year, and we got blown out in that one vs FL, which he threw for over 300 yards.

I just don't see how Mason could come in and fix the oline problems and the play calling. Mason never won any games for us last year with his arm and made some really bad decisions as well, the INT vs GT in OT was a terrible read.

Maybe with Mason we can beat Tenn, but we still get blown out vs Bama and UF. You also got to remember he was a 5th year SR who still made a bunch of rookie mistakes.

Seventy percent completion rate and four interceptions. Yeah, Hutson made a ton of mistakes.

Some people are complete idiots.

Yeah you can't read very well can you?

What was Mason's 3rd down conversion rate? I know for a fact he was like 1-8 on third downs at one point. How is that any different that Lambert or any of our qbs? Like I said, if Mason can only throw the ball 10 yards, then his competition % should be high. I think it is pretty obvious you didn't watch any games last year. How many times did Mason go for the wr screen, quick slant, hb screen etc? I think he threw 2 deep balls in the first few games and those were severely under thrown.

Like I said, what would Huston do to make this team better? Will he block the Dline so he can have more time? Would Mason call his own plays in the huddle since Shotty is inept at it? Mason only avg 166 yards a game last year as well, I'm sure he would be so much better for us this year.

That seemed predetermined to me (meaning that slant was the only option for Mason on the play), and GT was all over it. A slant & go would have gone for the easiest TD of Mitchell's career.

Mason was not the type of QB who would go out and win a game on his own. His job was not to lose the game, and he was good at it. Murray was good enough to be the main reason Georgia won a game. Mason was not.

Either way, Mason stared down the WR and made it even easier for the D.

And you are right that Mason never won us any games. He was just a game manager at best. This season wouldn't be any different with Mason as the starter. We still lose to Bama and UF. I don't see how TENN would be any different either.

You watch the GT game in 2013?

You think for 1 second any QB on our roster could've had a performance like that?

We averaged 42 ppg last year and we're averaging 9 this year. Even with our shite show of an OC we'd be doing much better with Mason at the helm.

A little early to be putting it all on Schottenheimer's shoulders. It's only his first season.

No,it's not.No excuse in the world to average 9 ppg with the athletes on UGA's roster.

Doesn't really matter,he's gone after this year even if
we win out.

And Lambert set a FBS record this year. Perspective is a funny thing.

I applaud the OP. As for those complaining about Hutson, clearly are offense was better with him and Bobo. As for those complaining about Hutson and him sucking claiming to know football more than him, well you're dumb
