Having looked into it and finding out who Stetson Bennett really is and learning about his family and upbringing, I actually kind of feel embarrassed for taking up for him and defending him so much. Because he doesn’t need it. His critics are so far beneath him and ignorant that it is staggering. That goes for the media too that have yet to tell the story because they can’t get past the fact that he’s 1 inch shorter than Bryce Young.

My position from day one has been that Kirby and Monken see these guys at practice every day.
Shouldn't they be capable of making the decision as to who plays and who starts??

It might be the first reason you listed - we won't find out the truth until after the season (see: the flak jacket Daniels has continued to wear). Or it might be an obvious reason not listed: The guy didn't play and had limited practice for 5 or 6 weeks of the season. The offense evolved to something different and moved on. And coaches don't like making changes if things are working. So even if Daniels has been fully healthy for the last month, Kirby isn't going to make a change at that point...unless something goes wrong.
There are a few people with a bizarre obsession with Bennett that's based on where he's from, his family, and other stuff that has nothing to do with football. Those individuals oversell him. Basically everyone else knows the deal with Bennett.
My hope is that we win it all this year, Bennett moves on to his (likely not pro football) career, and Continuity Kirby doesn't cause any other 5-star signees to transfer to Ohio State or anyplace else in 2022.

I agree...not normally. But they can and have for Kirby. Once such backup turned out to be a 1st round pick and is now a starting NFL QB. The less talented starter was 5th round, has washed out of two NFL teams and is on his 3rd practice squad.
