Unless Richt and McGarity sit down and start talking longterm (like after Richt is gone) and determine that the right move is to go ahead and peg Kirby as Richt's heir, it will not happen.

I agree. I see of no reason why tabbing him heir to the Richt throne would be a bad thing. may piss Bobo off, but whatevs.
ETA; I just question whether or not Richt and McGarity have the stones to make such a longterm decision.
