For all of you that think Fromm will come
I'm and win the starting job, can you please explain why. Anyone with a brain, knows it takes time to adjust to the speed of the college game especially in a pro style system. Eason has big time talent and a full year under his belt, while Fromm has big time talent with no experience.

I'm a huge fan of Fromm but in his wildest dreams he does not have the arm talent Eason has. The same dawg fans that shite on Eason must have thought Stafford was trash his frosh yr, Jake will be sitting for a few yrs unless Eason gets hurt.

If Fromm was a legit dual-threat QB, I could actually see him having a chance to win the starting position but he's not as far as I know. All 4 playoff teams had dual-threat QB's; think about that for a minute. And 2 of the best dual-threat QB's in the bowl games, Deshaun Watson and Joshua Dobbs, came from the state of Georgia......

I stand corrected; Jake Browning is primarily a passer no doubt which surprised me when I just looked up his stats.

And Alabama made it to the big game in spite of Hurts, and not because of him. I would also argue that Clemson beat Alabama because Hurts could not throw the ball down the field. Most DT Quarterbacks struggle with that. They are usually average at best throwing the ball. Watson is the exception to that rule.

The ideal DT QB is someone like Rodgers, Luck, or Roethlisberger who can avoid the pass rush while keeping their eyes downfield looking to throw. I never, ever want to see Georgia running an option based offense.

Fromm will more than likely red shirt this year, hopefully they pass the new redshirt rule and he gets some actual playing time. He'll be backup his rfresh year with a chance to start depending on incoming qbs his rs, rj, and rsr years. Eason is clearly headed to the league after 2 more seasons.

I look at your examples as mobile QB's and not DT. And, FTR. I agree 100% with you. Mobile QB's (Similar to Murray) are fine. I don't think statues are good, or do I like a QB that runs a lot. How do you think the game would have turned out if Watson had gotten injured against Ohio State. Of course, UGA never gets bad breaks, so we wouldn't have to worry about that, right?

If you mean you think they will hold Fromm out and tag him a red shirt if we don't need him, I agree. I will be shocked if they hang the red shirt tag on him before the season.

Anyone who's ballsy enough to say that they think that Fromm would waltz in and take the starting job from Eason is looking for a new home for their misplaced Hutson Mason fandom from the days when Murray left us scratching our heads.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again here, as it bears repeating: Aaron Murray did not become Aaron Murray - Bulldog Legend™ until his rJr year. Those first two seasons were agonizing at times, because for every flash of brilliance, there was a boneheaded decision he would make, too. Good judgement is the result of experience, and experience is the result of bad judgement.

Eason will likely continue to confound and amaze us, likely in the same games, and possibly in the same drive. Ideally, we'll redshirt Jake Fromm State Farm, and Eason will have a happy, healthy 2017, and we'll never have to hear Ramsey's number called.

He might be. But I think Jake's point is....based upon what? Not what we saw this past year. he clearly has talent and COULD make it, but it's a bit premature to assume that right now. I agree with Jake.

He might. But I am not going to say he is based on last season.

Why does that sentence get a line to itself?

I think Fromm and Eason will make each other better. And that will make UGa better.
