LINK

They represent Dez Bryant, Geno Smith, Ndamukong Suh, Robinson Cano, CC Sabathia, Kevin Durant, and Victor Cruz.

Interesting choice. Wonder if he's finally getting momma and the family squared away.

Still can't believe Jay Z has an agency and top athletes flock to him.

Well as far as celebrity role models go, being stupidly wealthy, BFF with the President, and married to Beyonce isn't exactly the worst life in the world

Why not? Everything the guy touches turns to gold. He's one of the most successful and influential entertainers on the planet. I would if I were in their shoes.

I agree

I never thought that Jay Z would be involved in anything similar to the infamous Ricky Williams/Master P debacle, but I guess I can see why others would be skeptical about his abilities to run a sports agency since it has turned out poorly in the past.

The few of you that are downvoting this comment are dumbasses. Maybe you are 60+ or just racist, but you can't deny that Jay-Z is an extremely successful businessman and entertainer (whether he personally entertains you is not relevant).

GTFO with this. You sound like a damn liberal whenever someone disagrees with them.

Why would people be downvoting a comment referring to Jay-Z as a successful businessman? I am very curious, actually. That is similar to downvoting someone saying that Jameis Winston won the Heisman. You don't have to like the person or be a fan, but a fact is a fact.

Let me get this straight... Just because someone disagrees or doesn't give a shite at all makes that person or people 60 or racist? Is it because he's black or are you in fact the racist pile of shite that thinks everyone "owes" them something. I work hard for my money and you can't have it you racist piece of shite!

Who gives a shite? Jay-Z is insanely successful and will make Gurley a lot of money by representing him very well. That's all you can ask for in an agent.

Donald Trump made a lot for himself too but I don't think he'd be a good agent.

Seriously, why would Gurley need an agent? He's a known commodity that shouldn't need to be sold to to a team in order to make money. I would guess that all he needs is a good contracts attorney (which he'll also need anyway) to negotiate terms.

And before you dumbasses go "everyone has an agent" I meant that as a hypothetical question. What value do they really serve for top tier talent?
