@schadjoe? "Greyson Lambert says he’s transferring from Virginia to Georgia"

I'm not at all disappointed

Not one bit. Even if he is not a significant upgrade over Ramsey and Co, he certainly is not a downgrade

I don't see any way he's an upgrade over ramsey, RIGHT NOW, but it certainly doesn't help to have more competition. On the field he hasn't really proven any more than Ramsey, and he's obviously going to be behind on our system and the playbook. The biggest advantage he'll have is in game experience.
Is he getting a scholly? I thought we were currently at 86.

The fact he has experience is already why I like him more than Ramsey. He's already done what Ramsey is primed to do and throws lots and lots of INTs.

and UGA just lost its Sims 2.0, your point?
I was referring to the situation before last years season at Alabama.
If Lambert shows up in Athens, I would think he would have a hard time beating out Ramsey because he would only have half the summer to work out with the players(like Coker did), and Ramsey just may turn out better than expected(like Blake Sims did).
That was my point. And that is what I believe would happen if Lambert signed with GA. Thus, the Coker 2.0. Understand?

Except this Coker is going to win the starting job, then the heisman.

and UGA doesn't have a 5th year senior with lots of experience for him to compete with....understand?

Sims had lots of experience?
If you say so.

We needed another QB. This was an obvious move if he wanted to come

I like it. I bet he's our starter at some point during the season. Whos to say he doesnt already have a playbook and know most of the plays right now? He's a smart kid and will be ready by the beginning of the season IMO.

Ramsey may have great highlights from college but I saw little last season that impressed me. Maybe he will have learned and improved over the spring/summer. I certainly hope so. Fauta is a nice change but I didn't see much from him either. Too bad neither had many opportunities last year.

If the coaches feel he's 99% coming, he will already have a playbook.

I'm drinking the Koolaid, and with a much better oline and RB than he had at Virginia, he will be very serviceable in my opinion.

I like the size and steadiness he brings. His stats don't impress obviously but I have a theory why that is. Perhaps he was studying too much? I know that sounds weird but c'mon he graduated from one of the best schools in the country in just 2.5 years which is ridiculously impressive. Maybe he'll take a more manageable class load at UGA and focus more on ball?

this is the reason why Schotty said we went after him....he wants MORE competition.

Some of those throws were promising, I especially liked the one across his body against UNC

I like him at least as much as Ramsey. My guess is Lambert starts, and Ramsey plays for Colorado State in the immediate future.
