I think a lot of people fail to realize what’s becoming more and more apparent. Fields has a ton of talent but was a work in progress when he got to Athens.
Maybe it was attitude, reading defenses, making quick decisions or just adjusting to the speed of college ball. Maybe he was used to being able to out-athlete other teams in HS. Who knows.
It’s good to read something positive about his development and if he’s truly buying in then he’ll get more shots.

We also need to remember he played a ton of baseball, and then missed out on some of the best competition he would play his senior year because he was hurt.
He’s also such a freak athletically that any time a receiver wasn’t open he could take off. Has to be a little bit more patient now, and I fully expect him to get much better at that.

Yeah...HT and his “racist” comments are so ridiculous I haven’t even paid them any attention.
Yeah...Kirby doesn’t want to play the black kid...except in just about every other position on the field.

What’s more likely. Davey knows someone inside the program or you know where Fields is transferring next spring

I didn't ask that question.......I like Justin a lot. I really do hope that he is the next generational type player that lives up to the hype and helps to lead us to glory.

Some here have insinuated that CKS is holding Fields out in favor of Fromm because he is racist. I think that is utterly ridiculous. It’s far more likely that a true freshman is still learning how to play in the SEC.

Yeah that's dumb. My theory originally was that he doesn't want to risk losing Fromm to a midseason transfer (see: Kelly Bryant) and then not have any depth if Fields were to be injured.
Fromm has improved since the first 6 games this season and I think he starts the rest of the way this year. I also think there's a very good chance that Fields starts opening day 2019.

It's 2018 - obviously, the only reason a white Southern male is not playing a black player is racism.
