Yea, I thought a dude was pulling on legs earlier, then shoving the G QB off the fumble pile. It’s been pretty thuggish for sure

The kicker had hooked an extra point and a FG earlier in the game. Plus it was absolutely hammering down rain during the game.

Heartbroken for Cedartown but happy for my classmates with kids playing for The 400.

I was up in the box for Hughes-Gainesville w/your guys tonight and my playoff white hat the last 2 years who is the clock operator at Georgia State and is obviously there for all 11 games. I was his guest. Gainesville put up a fight but Langston's speed was too much. The kick return for a TD after Gainesville got it to 29-21 was a back-breaker.

I missed the game tonight, but I saw Langston Hughes-Rome last week, and I gotta say that LH was one hell of a high school fb team. Speed and size. They rotate 7-8 guys on the defensive line, which is almost unheard of in high school. Their offensive line looked like a junior college or DII o-line. I figured they would win easily after seeing that game, but it sounds like Gainesville put up a good fight and was in this one to the end. I’ll probably be at the later two games tomorrow. Wonder if Carrollton has a shot against Mill Creek in 7A; seems like Mill Creek has been smoking everyone in these playoffs — a lot of good players on that team.

I feel bad for my Red Elephants, but they ran into a buzz saw. I think that the weather actually kept the game a bit closer. It would be nice if Blank would open the Benz option again and reward the teams for earning a spot in the championship. It was miserable at the end of the Cedartown game. I feel like a soaked rat...

It's just a shame that Hughes's players (and their head coach after the game) acted like that game was played in a prison yard instead of a football field.

For some reason ware county didn't leave for the game until this morning. 5 hours drive and they play at 330. So dumb

It's going back to MBS next year. The contract is being signed on Monday.

And Blank was not the reason the finals haven't been at MBS the last 5 years. It was a union contract that stated all of the facilities had to be staffed, even if those facilities weren't being used. And the upper deck isn't used for the finals.

Blank is paying for the finals next year so that it can move back home.

And I owe Arthur Blank an apology b/c I have always thought that he was responsible for the finals leaving MBS in the first place.

Ga high school refs are awful. I know it’s hard and they make about $40 but keep your dam whistle in your pocket if you suck. These guys want to make the “big call” as bad as the qb wants to make the big play

Dude relax.

He missed the call. It be happens and he'll be properly chided for it.

And we make $110/gm.im the regular season and $200 in the playoffs.

We could always use new officials ya know.

That was a gawd awful call and an obvious one. But that wasn’t the only bad consequential miss. And I’m not pulling for either team. Just watching horrid officiating that impacts games

And FWIW, these are the top-8 ranked crews in the state calling these championship games, a lot of these crews work together all season, they just didn't put a random crew in any of these games.
