Washington
Texas
Alabama
Georgia

Michigan did not play a ACC / B12 / PAC / SEC school
Michigan had 1 game in the season against Ohio State
Michigan had 1/2 a game against Penn State

What a joke the committee is.

I got no problem with it. They picked the four best conference champions. Tbh this should have been the format every single year. That basically makes the conference championship games a play in. Simple as shite.

Give it up. FSU should be in before UGA.

No they didn't. They had a chance to play their way in and choked. No one to blame but themselves.

UGA is a 14 point favorite over the “Team who got ronned”

I think you can argue it. The committee basically has shown that:

1. Winning all your games doesn't matter.

2. Winning the conference championship doesn't matter.

If these things are true, we should be in over Bama - we lost by three on a neutral site whereas Bama lost by 10 at home. They had really awful showings vs AU and USF. We pass the hypothetical, made-up eyeball test way better than they do.

And a miracle to beat Auburn and tried to lose to horrible Arkansas

And Washington. Both will be eviscerated in the semis.

The problem I have with all this is they’re saying the undefeated season and conference championship mean nothing bc they don’t have their starting QB, BUT they still rank higher than a 1 loss defending back-to-back national champion who would have all their key players able to play in a playoff. No way in hell as both teams are configured right now should that be the case.

Someone should get Vegas Oddsmakers to simulate a spread with the 4 teams in Playoff vs UGA

We would be favored in every game, probably less than 3 over Michigan and Alabama. We would be favored by at least 10 over Washington, probably -6.5 against Texas.

I will give Washington props for their non conference schedule and the PAC being tougher top to bottom than the B1G.

I have a feeling Michigan will feel the greater pain. I honestly do not know about Washington.

This is an embarrassing argument. You don't need an eye test when there's a head to head result. We saw it on the field, and Georgia wasn't good enough when it mattered.

If this sounds harsh, it's supposed to. This team doesn't deserve any benefit of the doubt after that game yesterday. If they were as good as we thought they were, they would have taken care of business yesterday and taken the decision out of the committee's hands.

Results on the field matter more to me than recruiting rankings and Vegas power rankings.

“Clearly a Best Four Team” Alabama

• Lost by 10 to Texas at home
• Beat Arkansas by 3
• Beat Auburn by 3
• Beat A&M by 6

We lose 1 game in 2 years by 3 points to Alabama and suddenly we're 6. Thank god for 12 teams next year, every good team will have a chance but the lack of talent in qbs will fall off i believe

What we learned today is while it’s clearly more important when you lose vs. how you lose, the most important thing might actually be who you lose.

Does anyone think it would have changed anything with the committee had we played and beaten Oklahoma, and our only loss was yesterday’s?

The robbery took place during the SECCG.
Bama mugged our receivers the entire game with very few pass interference calls.
No review of the big pass play to Bond in which the ball was clearly trapped on the turf.
Bama's OL got away with holding the entire game.

Having said that, we choked with bad play calling, uncharacteristic penalties and Beck's fumble.
You simply can't make those kinds of mistakes against an equally talented team.
