So injuries are the way to get free timeouts.

We played that one really conservative on purpose. They had a WR at QB and it was pouring rain. We knew we could win scoring very little.

I guess that’s fair.

But it’s an 11 point W on the road in the SEC. Obviously the offense wasn’t good, but not a whole lot of possessions in this game either.

But I was also including games in Kirby’s first year, which was horrendous.

That’s awful coverage from Tyrique.

It’s 4th and 18 bud.

Adam Anderson needs to play more. He’s our best pure pass rusher.

He plays basically all passing situations. He’s just not nearly as effective against the run.

We don’t seem to be very good at the offense stuff

I agree with you, but remember that Fromm was able to put up points in the first half against them. It wasn't his ability, it was our poor play-calling in the 2nd half. That wasn't on our QB or even our offensive capabilities from a scheme perspective.

When the run game got taken away, Fromm wasn't good enough to put the team on his back at any point in his career.

This has been an absolutley atrocious performance. I'm not sure how anyone can be excited after this.

I feel pretty confident we’ll win by at least 11. I think it’s more likely we score on a pick 6 then they score on offense.

Ehhh. I think Azeez is better all around but AA is better just rushing. Azeez does a much better job playing the run and maintains his lanes.

There’s always a million reasons to pretend that a wrong decision was right. There’s always a reason to not make the tough decision, no matter how right it is. Just like in life, the ones willing to make the tough decisions will see better results than those who choose the safe route.

That’s why Saban and Swinney will keep piling up championship trophies and Kirby will keep hitting his head on a ceiling that he thinks is made of glass when it’s opaque as a mahogany door.

We need a real quarterback. Until we get one, our success will be capped.

This is that kid's fault? Really?
My point was that we went after our "future" at QB and they left because they didn't have their felt needs met.

quote:

Mathis can't see the field because of a transfer 2 years ago?
Nope. I didn't say that. Mathis likely isn't seeing the field because he isn't playing well enough in practice to unseat Bennett.

quote:

Thats why Newman left?
I heard that he didn't want to catch COVID. It could be that he was just afraid that he wasn't good enough to compete in the SEC and he didn't want to hurt his draft stock. It could be that he got beat out. Doesn't matter. Newman was touted as our next starter when he transferred and then he left.

quote:

That's why Daniels is cleared, but Stetson is playing? Really?
I don't know why Daniels isn't seeing some time. It could be that he's simply not ready. If he isn't, I'm wondering why. If it's physical, will he ever be ready? If it's mental, then that's a problem, too. Clearly he was meant to be a backup to Newman while Newman was here so it's likely Daniels was considered a throw-away this season.

Bennett has been around a while and has some benefits that other QBs don't have right now. It's a shame we don't have a better option right now.
