This may be the toughest 4 game stretch we've had in history. Florida, Mizzou, Ole Miss and Tennessee. We could easily lose 2 or more of these games.

In history? I don’t think it’s anywhere close to that.

It sure as hell looks 10 times more difficult than it did a couple months ago when our schedule was mocked and when Kirby was mocked for telling the truth about it.

what? In history? 3 ranked teams over 4 weeks with the highest not even being a top 10 isn’t even close to toughest 4 game stretch.
Honestly, CFB is kinda having a down year overall and at the end of the next 4 weeks, only 1 of those 4 teams might even be ranked….

Remember when Auburn, UT and UF were all in top 10 and 1 of them was number 1? Goff and Donnan do.

Can you please elaborate more on this? With specific reasons why you feel this way?

Others might say, this season is headed full steam toward insane awesome parity chaos . Exciting times

I watch a lot of football every single weekend. Most teams look very average on both sides of the ball compared to the last 10-15 years. Teams are struggling to win against mediocre teams that aren’t even close to equivalent in talent.
I’m sure any stat one would present could be argued, which the same is true for most seasons.

Others might also say, there has been a boatload of talent drafted the last couple years, the portal has prevented players from being ingrained in the systems, coordinates changing more frequently, lack of loyalty or care for their college team, and thus the the game has taken a huge step backward. Parity in your mind is teams more equal. That’s fine. I say the product of football is now down compared to previous years. Both can be right

Where should the game be then? What is the goal?

I agree with you on some levels. I think people that cheered for NIL are exactly like the people that cheer for every war for example. They never want to accept responsibility for all the unintended consequences that come with their unwise impulse desires afterwards

But we’re talking about where the cards lay on this particular moment. Personally, I think it’s hilarious that the most undecided exciting parity-fied season in ages is also the last season before mini-nfl gets enacted. And it’s shaping up to be a fun ride

This feels like 2007 right now. Just barreling toward weirdness

No clue on where it should be. As for a goal, there is no goal. This is the wild Wild West and there is no leadership or control over any of it. That’s the problem.

I will say, the University is becoming less and less important in all this and it’s embarrassing how they’ve move away from student-athletes that represent a college to what it is today.

At least in the NFL you have contracts, regulations, code of conduct, a draft, salary cap, auditing of records, universal TV contracts, etc

Plenty to laugh at next year. (Airforce would be in the mini nfl playoff if it were this year) For God sakes

But this year is killer. And you’re a dickhead for diminishing its mysterious awesomeness

Why are you that way?

No one said anything about how awesome the season could turn out or the mysteriousness of it. Not sure where you are getting it. College football being down in talent and top level play this year doesn’t mean there can’t be some craziness in the last few weeks. Not sure why you are an angry old man that likes to make up shite just to argue about

Cmon man.

Well, I exaggerated. But these next 4 games will test this team more than any 4 game in-season stretch in the recent past. I'm just nervous. Give me a break.

Sounds like something Larry Munson would have said.

Hypothetical: could you leave a one-loss UGA with a healthy Brock Bowers out of the CFP?

Even if the Dawgs don't run the gauntlet, I still like our chances.

As has been the case the last 9 years of the playoffs, it is 100% entirely dependent on the other P5 champions.

Brock being hurt doesn't have any bearing on whether the committee chooses us though. If the champions of the Big 10/ACC/PAC/Big 10 all have 0 or 1 loss, I can assure you that a 1 loss UGA that doesn't win the SEC isn't making the playoffs. On the other hand, if we slip up in the regular season but still go 12-1 and win the SEC, the only way we don't make it is if all 4 of those aforementiond champs are undefeated.

Alabama did it in 2017

This stuff seems so subjective, and I think his postseason availability wouldn't hurt the narrative. But maybe you're right.
