Bobby Dodd made that bed long ago, sweetheart. That and your fail arse alumni base failing to support your programs isn’t UGA or the SEC’s problem. Oh, and friendly reminder, we’re going to beat that Jacket arse again this year.

No argument. He was a great coach but a really crappy AD.
Doesn’t make me wrong though.

So, GT's success depends on getting free SEC distribution money in order to be good and compete against real competition consistently?
How about get good first and prove yourself because as it stands you are 2 conference game win at most you are in the this conference.

How successful would UGA be without SECmoney?
Posted on 9/2/26 at 11:44 am to Rules
Extremely, Big10 would make us even more money....
Posted on 9/2/26 at 12:59 pm to Rules
Very successful since they have been for the last 25 years even when the ACC was up

Lol, sure dude. Take tens of millions of dollars from the schools and they’d still be as successful as they are now.
That's hilarious.

What happened to GT’s basketball program?
Posted on 9/2/26 at 1:51 pm to New Money
Same thing that happened to the football team a few years ago. Hired Bozo the clown as head coach.

My buddy (a huge GT supporter who's literally given millions to the AD) told me they're in much better shape than 5 years ago.Obviously not due to ACC money but to other alumni stepping up and fund raising efforts.

Hey now, let’s not let facts get in the way of his excuses.

Being in the SEC is like owning a franchise with huge revenue and no equity. You’re printing money on football Saturdays, but you don’t own anything long-term. Georgia Tech is like owning the real estate under the franchise and holds value whether the market is up or down. In other words - we exist with or without the SEC. You do not

Tech is basically pimping the American dream to Internationals at this point. It's campus a monument to better days.....

Spend a lot of time on GT's campus, do you?
Posted on 9/2/26 at 8:21 pm to Rules
Avoid it like the plague, it's a straight ghetto.

Nah. GT campus ain't close to what it used to be.
The Midtown and West Midtown is area around the campus is booming.

You guys almost didn't exist at all in the late 70's early 80's and we're about to pull the plug on big time athletics and it obviously wouldn't had been the case had you still been in the SEC and you were also in dire straits 5 plus years ago with huge athletic deficits and in both cases wealthy alums had to pull you out of the toilet and your still on somewhat shaky ground.

Laughably dumb take, UGA has a valuation of nearly $2B. We are a huge, national brand, regardless of being in the SEC or not. Georgia Tech isn’t even in that conversation. You guys by comparison are an afterthought.
