Their defense is average. It's kept crap teams in games deep into the 2nd half. If they had a solid D, they could win it all, but they don't and they won't. Teams run or pass on them. GA will do both.

And our D will challenge OU's OLine & Mayfield more than any other team. We've faced good OLines before -- ND & AU's (x2). After a month off, I'd rather run than throw. We'll see how nervous his WRs are to get their heads knocked off.

Doesn't OU have 4 all americans? They definitely have talent.

Both teams are talented.
This is a styles matchup.

The game will go to the team that wins turnovers, has the best red zone efficiency, and wins the special teams game.

It's hard to compare the two because they don't have the same kind of talent. Fromm doesn't need to improvise to be effective. Fromm can see the weakness in a defense set. Mayfield is a better mover, extends plays and plays back yard football. I think Fromm is steadier.

I wonder how Mayfield would do running the UGA offense and how Fromm would do running the Sooner offense.

Fromm is a great game manager but Mayfield is by far the more talented QB. To Fromm's credit, he knows how to use the talent around him to its potential so that makes Fromm a very good QB.

Sorrry, just telling it like it is.

I agree that Fromm has been good this year. I've stated that he's done exactly what's been asked of him. I think the question being posed is, do you feel that he can set back and throw the ball to win a game in the 4th quarter should UGA be down a few scores? This doesn't fall only on him, oline has to block, recievers have to make plays for him aswell.

Well he did that against ND, on the road, in his first ever start. People that haven't watched Fromm play shouldn't post about what he can or cannot do.

I didn't say he could or couldn't. I've seen the question asked on this message board along with the national media. Just curious of the overall thought.

Fair question that no one can truly answer. Fromm to this point has transcended all expectation for a true freshman and has amazing arm talent and football IQ. Some players do until they don't....

Like I said earlier Mayfield has the arm talent and IQ, but he also has experience. That is a big difference though Jake is really a sophomore now on the field.

Still amazing to be talking about a true freshman that came for what was supposed to a future franchise qb 5 minutes into the season.

Can Fromm execute a 2 minute drill? Yes.

Can Fromm throw 30 times a game and win? If we can stay balanced, yes. We have the defense and running game that can assist him. Fromm is not a liability. And balance is not a liability.

Can Fromm throw 40 times or more a game and win? Not likely. If we aren't balanced in our playcalling, I don't think we can win 4 quarters.

A 2 minute drill with a defense avoiding the big play is very different than 4 quarters of play.

We understand balance better than most folks give us credit for. I believe our run games sets up our pass, some sooner fans see it being the opposite. I'll be honest, during the season I didn't watch much Goergia football, to many things going on life wise. Caught up on YouTube over the break. It's a very interesting matchup. Who can execute their style better.

Until Smart arrived we passed to set up the run, now we do it the other way around. That said, with the way teams have loaded the box to stop us, it has made Fromm the best deep ball QB in the country.

I don't expect us to start the game with 7-8 in the box, but if we are getting gashed we'll go to 7-8. I think we start the game with our base defense. If we have to load the box, we will. Typically we run our base stuff early and make adjustments as needdd.

What?Did you even watch the '14 season?

Bobo used whatever the strengths of his offensive personnel dictated.

The 2017 Season has been a magical one.... With that being said.... You never know what will happen in the future...

I bet this time last year half of the UGA fans were thinking that Eason was going to be a lot more experienced and ready to leave...

But fate happened and Fromm took over.... Will Fromm be the man for the next 3 years ? Who knows ? ... Justin Fields might have something to say about that....

Will Fromm be equally as talented as Mayfield ? We shall see.... I'd be happy to have an Aaron Murray 2.0 myself...

We are not a throw first team and at at this point Fromm is not a "win the game for you when you are down 14 in the 4th qtr". He is constantly improving and nothing surprised me with his ability to learn.

Mayfield was the better QB, but Fromm played at a very high level.

Factually and statistically speaking Fromm was the better QB. He had a higher rating and no interceptions that flipped the game.

I think far too much of Mayfield's game relied on counts and blind passes. He would play action, count, turn and throw without first analyzing the defense. I knew we had to get at least one INT based on that alone.

Except for the one intentional grounding play I couldn't find any fault with Fromm. I remember more drops than outright misses.

I can remember two Fromm misses off the top of my head but he still played extremely well.
